Man - that ad for the 'smileys' has to be one of the most annoying ads ever...
If you accidentally let your mouse pointer touch it at all, it screams 'Helllloooooooo!' at you!
Ugh... That would really suck if that accidentally happened to someone at work in the wrong situation...
P.S. Thanks for getting rid of all of the 'Windows Live' underlined words. That was nearly as annoying with the popups that came up all the time...

Have to agree, that smiley ad is annoying and on top of that it isn't something I want my boss to hear at work
Simple solution....mute or turn the volume down on your computer.

Sure - but there are a lot of reasons at work to have my volume on... And I would undoubtedly forget to turn it back on or off when necessary... That ad seems to sneak up on you when you least expect it! Oh well.
Too bad you can't 'block' specific annoying ads...
Did you change something? It seems like the ads have a very different feel to them now than they did this morning...
No, we just have a large revolving and self updating program.

Then again... maybe you should be... well... working.. when you're at work or maybe I'm wrong.
Anyhow did PackerChatters land a contract for the ads? I don't remember seeing a lot of these over the last year as I've seen in the last 2 months or so.
If that's the case... congrats Larry.

Very bad ad. I can't tell you how many times late at night when checking the site and all the kids are tucked in and the house is quiet but for the dog snoring on the couch when I once again am freaked out by the loud, insane-ish voice greeting me hello.
Not pleasant.
I do want to say, the "turn your sound on your computer off/down" option just isn't good enough.
I hope you don't tell me "if you don't like it you can leave".
Why would I ever tell you that Ed?
I don't neccesarily like the ad either but it is in the rotation.

I was being preemptively defensive. Sorry about that. Just was in a bad mood and taking it out on everyone yesterday.
I love this place, thanks for providing it. I hate the ad but it isn't a deal breaker.

If you want something really, REALLY annoying, try listening to the game with 'Field Pass' (I cannot afford Sky, just for NFL). They have an endless loop, all about helping kids ("A little of YOU goes a long way") with pre-scripted quotes by several NFL players. Since it just loops, you hear it again and again, and again. Whenever it cuts off, and that could be mid-sentence, that is where it starts the next time they run it.
If you want to listen to the Packers pre-game show, it is just torture hearing that drivel again and again, it makes you want to shoot your loudspeakers, and then yourself, just for the peace.
