I was listening to a recent episode in the last month, and I heard you guys lamenting about the quality of your production gear (in regards to microphones, mixers, etc)..

I want to preface this post by saying I'm not in sales -but I work for a company that sells that kind of equipment in the Madison area at reasonable rates.

Please feel free to PM me if you want any advice on cheap USB mics, or an easy way to ingest your audio into your computer for the podcasts. I'm a big fan of the podcasts, and if there's any way where I can help you guys get your stuff cheaper, I'd like to help!

(also if there are banner rates at PackerChatters for advertising I might want to pass that on to my boss)..

I will put this on our list for Santa. Or, failing that, perhaps our keepers at PackerChatters.com might surprise us with a second anniversary present this fall. In fact, as I recall it, the fifth anniversary is celebrated with "wood", 15 is "crystal", 25 is "silver", 50 is "gold"...and the second is "podcast electronics".

I can hardly wait!

Pick up a Logitech 350 USB headset - you can often find them for $15-20 on buy.com or eBay. Best inexpensive USB headset I have found for podcasting.
