according to this they had Colledge taking snaps at practice. They have a open roster spot so why not sign some center off some PS or the street to fill in as a backup in case he would be needed.

Isn't Dietrich-Smith the backup center? I think two is probably all you can really afford to carry on the roster.

It is saying though he got rolled up on in a practice and was still hurting from it. It might be wise to pick up another one just for this game in case something would happen to Wells and Smith could not go.

I think we should sign a 3rd center to go with our 3 fullbacks tongue.gif

Wells is fine and back practicing today.
Dietrich-Smith was rolled up on yesterday in practice, that's the only reason Colledge was taking snaps.

Wells is Probable and Dietrich-Smith is Questionable for the Game.

If Tauscher is available, you may see TJ Lang slide over to LG and Colledge play center. I know he has not looked good this year, but at this point in the season, there aren't much better options on the street or on other teams practice squads.

Is Mike Flannigan available?

I thought they would have brought in another guard when Spitz went down. Now, considering D Smith was our backup left guard, and center, it would definately make sense to bring someone in.

Problem is, it's late in the week and I think we're better of sticking with what we got and get through Sunday.

I would guess they'll keep D Smith activated and only play him if they have too.

Stanley Daniels is a guard on the PS, 6-4 328 big fella. Don't know anything about him.

Can Goode play C?

Really?

And no the Packers should not sign a Center.

I do think GBP4EVER should be fired and run out of town though. I think he's done a far worse job of posting than TT has as a GM.

Whatever. If you don't like what I post well don't read any threads I start. You can't seem to post anything worthwhile yourself so it's like the pot calling the kettle black. I have posted more stuff worth while reading and discussing. It seems only thing you can do is bash other peoples post and idea's. Don't hate because if other's else can post more worthwhile things to read and discuss.

If GB would have kept The Duke Preston we would not be having this discussion.

If they would have kept Preston then they would have cut Smith, how would that change anything? Loosing your starting center and having your third string center gets hurt isn't really the fault of poor planning. They started the year 3 deep at the position.
Nimrod
GB could have kept The Duke instead of Breno and we would not have this thread laugh.gif So there rolleyes.gif

You know I was just kidding around.

Smith has a future with GB Its like TT has hit on a late round pick but with a udfa. If he doesnt end up being a starter he will be the sixth man at all three interior positions providing depth that isnt a big drop off in production.

Even if we wanted to sign a center who worth a darn is out there at this late date? unsure.gif
