Gotta love them. Gray and 45 here. Got a burn pile going, 30 pack of beer and a bottle of mint schnapps. Probably going to throw some chili on the stove later.

Love days like this.

So far nobody has managed to burn themselves. Wife is cooking the chili. I think I might of irritated the neighbors though.

Sounds great. It was about 45 tonight here as well. It's supposed to freeze over night. I'm guessing we'l have snow on the ground before the end of November.

I miss lawn mowing already. It hasn't snowed yet down there? Whe had 4 snowfalls in Oct. All melted by late afternoon. Upper 40's the game tommorow. Low 50's. Good football weather.

These are the kinds of posts that make me nostalgic for Wisconsin. Those crisp fall days, where wearing a sweater and a light windbreaker is good. Where the leaves turn colors, with burst a of yellow, orange, and red; where driving through the Kettle Moraine is simply heavenly. Going back home, and having a bowl of hearty soup or grilling some steaks. Wow! Great times! I remember them well!

And these are the reasons I don't miss Wisconsin. I hated shoveling snow; I hated having to clear the ice from my windshield; I hated the sub-zero days, where I felt the cold pressing against the walls; I hated not seeing the sun for weeks at a time. Fall in the north is great; winter sucks. Big time.
