GBP4EVER
When the Bears traded for him the Bears where being called SB contenders and many were saying he was the best QB in the divison and one of the best in the north. While in reality he is showing he might be the worse QB in the north and the most overrated QB in the NFL.

Shows Denver knew what they were doing. Just think, too, Chicago gave up 2 first rounders and a 3rd rounder for him laugh.gif

Say what you want about Jay Cutler, but he doesn't hold the ball too long. laugh.gif

Ha, this clown has 8 more INTs than Favre and Rodgers combined.

17 picks in 5 games. When people complain about Rodgers holding the ball too long, think of Cutler and what could be. Every time he was pressured, and it was often, he threw it up for grabs and the result...5INTs.

Cutler's only problem is with fundamentals. He's confident that will get corrected.

That might have been a wise trade on the Bears part if they had a decent cast of WR's to mesh with Cutler. However, they don't have anything resembling a go-to guy.

With Cutler's free-wheeling style this is the end result.

It's the Bears and I ain't gonna lose to much sleep over it. smile.gif

Five picks... Ladies and gentlemen, thank your lucky stars we have Rodgers, because there but for the grace of God go the Packers.

Mike Shanahan will be the next Bears coach. Lovie looks like Ray Rohdes whan Favre threw picks. No accountability.

His o-line totally sucks. He was pressured all night! That said, can't stand the guy and he's totally overrated! Love the new record he set last night. First QB in NFL history to throw for over 300 yards with 0 TDs and 5 picks! Congrats Bears, you deserve it! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I remember when the whole drama with Denver started, one of the talking heads said the Broncos believe Cutler has reached his ceiling already. It appears that may be true. This guy has Jeff George written all over him. Million dollar arm, 10 cent head. I'm not convinced they wouldn't be better off with Kyle Orton, especially factoring in everything else they had to give up to get him. Even straight up, it's probably close.

Big Dave
Everyone should be saying their prayers that Rodgers is our QB now and for the future and that we didn't have to 'pay' what the Bears did to get 14 TD's and 17 INT's.

Bears fans got back at me last night when I said Cutler is undeciplined and error-prone by saying, "Well at least our QB doesn't take a sack every other play."

Um, okay? Stupid Bears fans.

Well, they do have a point. Cutler wasn't sacked once! biggrin.gif

OH Packer revisited
I would like to get on Colin Cowherd's show and ram Cutler stats down his throat. I will not forget that before this season started he went off on how much better Cutler was than Rodgers. I knew Cutler was overrated, many of us did. He reminds of Favre in Favre's worst year and I'm pretty sure he's not even that good.

Cutler is immensely talented but he very well could be the most inconsistent QB in the NFL. What is shocking is that Cutler has thrown 15 of his 17 picks in 5 road games. He is brilliant at home and HORRENDOUS on the road. When he is on, he is GREAT. When he is off, he is HORRIBLE. The main thing that keeps Cutler from mentioned with the top QBs in the NFL is his performance on 3rd downs and in the red zone. Our QB is one of the best in these categories. These are the money situations for an NFL QB. Everybody thinks of Denver having this great offense last year and that Cutler has this great arm. Guess what they were #16 in points scored and Cutler had less than half as many 40+ yard plays as Rodgers did. I think the guy is overrated. He has the all the talent in the world but just lacks the intangibles needed to be a great QB. One of the biggest knocks that the local Denver media and many fans had on Cutler was his behavior on and off the field. Sometimes it seems like the guy just doesn't care. He casually walks onto the field. He points fingers. He gets way too emotional. After a terrible performance he blames teammates and appears completely unaware that he just had a bad performance. Sometimes he comes across as very cocky and arrogant.

I think he was making huge progress towards that in Denver but he just doesn't have the coaching and the playmakers in Chicago to blossom into an elite QB. Chicago hasn't had a good QB because they can't develop them. You can't just trade for a QB and think it will fix all your problems. Kyle Orton is on his way to having a very respectable season statistically and the Broncos are 6-2 on a team that most sports pundits would finish 3-13 or 6-10 at best. I always thought that Chicago would have been better off keeping Orton and using a 1st or 2nd round pick to pick up Anquan Boldin. At first I was concerned after the trade because I thought Angelo would have done more to get Cutler a credible WR.

The thing I like about the Packers offense with Rodgers at the helm is that it always produces points. So many times I've seen a Cutler led offense get completely shut out. If I'm not mistaken the Packers offense has scored a TD of some sort in every single game with Rodgers at QB. So many times I've seen a Cutler led offense get shut out and only score 6,7, or 10 points. Everybody made excuses for him last year when the Broncos collapsed and blew a 3 game lead with 3 games left in the season. The defense did give up quite a few points in those 3 games but Cutler threw 2 TDs and 4 INTs in those 3 games. He did throw for a bunch of yards though and went to the Pro Bowl. rolleyes.gif
Leader
Didnt Cutler go thru training camp with the Bears? I think he did.....so, I dont understand all this "not on the same page with the WR's" chatter coming from the announcers.
pmals
I would have to say he is the most negative QB I have ever seen. His body language, facial expression, and overall attitude come off as it's never his fault. I have seen him multiple times throw a terrible pick walk off the field like he didn't care and go sit on the bench by himself. Didn't undestand why Denver wanted to trade him, but after watching him this year I understand. He is not exactly a leader, which is something you have to have out of the QB postion.
