What changes have you noticed after the bye week? Isn't that the time for the coaching staff to take an honest assessment of what's working, what needs fixing, changing, etc.?
I don't see any new protection schemes. I don't see any new blitz packages. I don't see any new, creative plays, formations, etc. on offense. No huddle? Nope. Wildcat, speical plays of any kind? No. They look exactly the same on both sides of the ball.
I wasn't a fan of Sherman, but I will give him credit for coming out with something new after the bye week each year. Most memorable was the U-71 package (or whatever he called it.) They ran the ball like crazy the rest of the year.
Did it ever occur to MM that running a no-huddle and using the extra week working long and hard on various screen plays would slow down the rush and keep Rodgers from being killed?
