Never was railing on Al's play, but he's on the decline. Why wouldn't he be, he's getting old. He's still a real good corner and I'm glad we have him. However, just venting my frustration with his jawing. Just my preference, but I hate it when players make a play and act like they've won the lottery. As for the condescending "people don't understand what it takes to play corner in the NFL," duh. Please enlighten us Bruce. My apologies if you've played corner in the nfl or are an ex-nfl player or coach. Players or coaches on lower levels don't technically qualify because, well, they don't have nfl experience.
If you were not railing on Al's play my post was probably not directed your way.
But since you are jumping on my post and think that Al deserves to be called out
Are you likewise going to heap on the praise as Al Harris took the hottest WR in the NFL over the last month Miles Austin all day long and rendered him useless with his meaningless catches gaining nothing until garbage time and a total game stat of 4 catches for 20 yards -- a 5.0 average???
BTW I do know what it takes to play defensive back in the NFL, as to whether or not I could enlighten you has much more to do with your openness and ability to learn than what I have to offer.
IMO Al Harris is a consumate professional defensive back that young corners should watch tape of and emulate as much as possible. He is a guy that leads by example and takes the time to work with younger players, stay late at practice and in the film room to help them learn the game. I think Woodson is a great Pro too.
Did you read the stats on the season???
Harris has allowed only one touchdown, according to STATS, and teams have completed just 46.5 percent of the passes thrown at him. Woodson has given up five touchdowns and 57.9 percent completions.
Do you have anything to say about that or is that simply evidence of his decline???
