Packers.com is reporting that Tauscher was hurt in the first drive of the 2nd half which is why he didnt return. Same knee that was surgically repaired last year. Tests tomorrow. Hope for the best.

Mark Tauscher: "I think I got lucky. I don't think it's anything major."

Whether its major or not is not the issue. Tauscher is a bandaid, not a cure. The Packers have to replace Tauscher and Clifton. Also, Harris and Woodson . Now, Lang for the OL looks pretty solid, as does Tramon Williams as a CB. However, that still means the Packers have a need to replace two critical spots, possibly very soon.

You can add Hawk and Kampman to that list, as well.

I would be shocked if either one of them was back next season.

Its to bad that Tauscher got hurt again as he was doing a decent job for his first game back. Barbre did rotate in and out with him in the first half the announcers didnt pick up on it. Lang did not look good when he was rotating in for Clifton and basically killed one drive by himself.

Hawk played a good game yesterday 6 tackles and 1 sack also he got robbed of an interception by a bogus flag.that really hurt GB at the time . It seems like every time GB makes a play a flag comes out to nullify it. It happened on three key plays yesterday Hawks interception , a long return(the only decent one of the day for GB) and a key first down pass completion. If two of those plays happened it would have been a different outcome.

I think the temperature was a factor yesterday also and MM should have run the ball alot more.

Expect to be at least half-shocked (which is better than being half-baked). Hawk is coming back. Count on it. Kampman is more iffy. IF the Packers retain the 3-4 defense (not a given if indeed MM is gone- and if he's back, the howling from Packer Nation will be deafening), Kampman will probably be signed and traded to a 4-3 team. Too bad. Its not his fault that he's been the proverbial square peg being forced into the round hole. IF the Packers go back to the 4-3, then Kampman will be re-signed, and suddenly the DL starts to look pretty formidable. Kampman, Jolly/Raji/Pickett and Jenkins. The LBers could be the best three of a very good crop (Barnett, Hawk, Matthews?). This team has the players- they are just not being utilized correctly, I believe.

Bing-go!

Time repeats itself-schemes and talent improperly enployed...question remains WHY? That said, 4-4 record is not the end all, but its disappointing for all fans. Go Packers and we will return! ohmy.gif
