Full Version: So what's the answer if we fold

What do we do if the players start pointing fingers and they quit on McCarthy. I know beating Dallas would go along way, in stopping the bleeding.
The reason I asked is because one of the posters who I personally believe in, stated that this had started already.
To me if the players turn on coaches that is different than them turning on one another. Thoughts

So far, I've seen no indication of this team quitting. They are a soft team. Physically and mentally, but play hard for the most part.

I have not seen it either, but I'm out in Maryland and Packer information is minimal

we don't know what players are saying amongst themselves...... And no one would know that even living in Green Bay.

If the team did not "quit" against the Bucs, they gave an extremely good imitation. They played spiritless, uninspired, uninterested football. Have they given up? It sure seems that way. Perhaps the second Minny game was more important than any of us imagined. Or else the loss of Favre... but I don't want to go there. Something is missing. This team simply looked out of synch. The special teams looked like a Chinese firedrill; the defense looked shoddy, the offense simply confused. Awful. Just awful.
OH Packer revisited
I don't see the team quitting but I have had a sense for some time that there is a lack of trust in the organization and at least some of the vets are less than enamored with our current coaching staff. While not folding it certainly isn't a recipe for success.

I didn't see them quit...poor execution on special teams and giving up on the run!!

Why did the staff give up on the run against one of the worst run defenses in the league?!? I believe they ran for a 5.5 yard average per carry...but for some reason, they gave up on it. Unbelievable.

I'm trying to be PC politically correct. I heard today, and maybe I heard it before, and refused to accept it, that the Vikings offered a 1st round pick and a 2nd rounder for Favre. This after the infamous Family Night thing in G.B in '08 when security was dispatched to tell Favre he could'nt enter the facilities. A 1st and a second this year. Harvin wouldn't be a Viking now, and the Pack may have been able to have Oher as well as Raji and Matthews, and a second rounder. Or a trade to do who knows what.

really, no one ever wanted to look at reality of the whole Favre thing. If he was so good that you would do anything to keep him from playing for minny, why would you not keep him, and if you did not believe in his abilities why wouldn't you let him go to minny for a premium price?

TT is terrible and its all come home to roost

a 6-10 season

Favre coming back and beating us twice

One of the worst loses in 20 years to the bucs.

Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

Whats the worst that could happen now other then another losing season?

Favre leads the Vikings to a super bowl win and TT and MM are fired...(on 2nd thought, maybe that would not be so bad.)

Vinnie
I am not sure I see them quitting, maybe content with losing is what tends t happen. I am still holding out hope.
The GM
Nick Collins has quit attempting to tackle anyone. He ran away from one ball carrier, not wanting any part of tackling during a long play up the middle. Then watch him on the long return, he lets the guy go by, then just jogs after him. Watch the replay.

What a joke.
