Traded for a young CF Carlos Gomez. Gomez did not do much this past season and found himself on the bench later. But so did Hardy. This will free up money for the Crew as they will not even consider brining back Cameron and his $10 million he made last year. Also they save money with Hardy gone and Escobar starting. Hopefully they can make another trade or two and use that money to get more pitching.

I hope they don't plan on this guy being the everyday outfielder. His numbers don't look so hot.

I kind of saw this coming, although I hoped The Crew would get a little more in return. After the '08 season his stock was definetly higher- .285, 24 hrs. Really struggled last year though. When he got sent down to the minors in July, the writing was on the wall.

His off needs work but hes is all ready one of the best def center fielder's in baseball he took 3 hits away from the brew crew this year only 23 hopeful the off catches up could be a steal

Was reading on JSonline that the Red Sox's had interest since the deadline but the Crew I guess asked for either Clay Bucholz (SP) or Daniel Bard (RP) and were told know. I guess the Sox countered with prospect Micheal Bowden that has been in the minors for the last 4 years with a ERA of near 10. Why would the Crew want something like that? If it was him or Gomez the Brewer made the better trade.
