I Believe In Aaron
When is he gonna be cut? The coaches have zero faith in him, he didn't play a single snap against the Queens, time to get rid of him and bring in someone who will contribute, given Jolly or Jenkins a breather...

I thought he had some kind of injury, but I might be wrong. I think he has been pretty good the last few years.

rolleyes.gif This is an off season topic.

The battle for training camp spots have all taken place and Mike made the team.

Hopefully, the team upgrades and replaces him next year, or (less likely) he makes a significant leap in developmental progress.

Fans are always wanting to cut players and fire coaches during the season. Those are acts of desperation.

While 4-3 is frustrating for all, it is hardly the time to be making impulsive moves -- the guys who might be an upgrade are long since signed by other teams.

Absolutely right. George Kokinis (sp?), the Cleveland GM, being (allegedly) escorted from the building after being (allegedly) fired (Cleveland is simply not talking about this) is, indeed, an act of desperation. But then again, so are the Browns. What the owner, Randy Lerner, has done to this once proud franchise is simply criminal. The one-year wonder "Man-genious" is being shown to be a real franchise killer.

I was going to make some smart-ass comment about how its getting to be a competition between Lerner and Al Davis on who can screw up more, but with 7 teams with one win or less Davis isn't looking as bad.

Who would of thought that Albert Haynesworth leaving Tennessee and signing with Washington would be associated with both teams getting worse. blink.gif But I'm way off the posted subject now.

But should not have.

Doesn't fit the scheme. Doesn't have any untapped potential.

Aaron Rouse got cut during the season. It most certainly is not an "offseason topic". That's just silly.

Yes they cut Aaron Rouse after the start of the season when he got a starting opportunity and consistently was out of position.

It was an extreme move, that ended up hurting the Packers as they could not find an adequate replacement until Bigby could rush back from injury.

Mike Montgomery is not a favorite of mine, but he is assignment sure and a high effort guy. He is not the kind of guy that extreme moves are made over.

You may see my point as silly or not see it at all. What I find to be silly is the high number of random calls for bit players to be cut while a season is underway. Who is on this list of great defensive ends that can come in without knowing the system and be an instant upgrade???

The Packers are 4 - 3, the likelihood of them making extreme moves goes up if they tank - but it seems to be premature to be flushing the season IMO
