Maxman,
I think we got a pretty fair deal here. Tough for me to go against either side of the deal, but I was once told by my fantasy mentor you should always get the best players in the deal...never settle for 3 for 1's or 2 for 1's. Get the studs.
The studs in this case are Fitzgerald and Rivers.
IMO.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. Brandon Marshall
In this case I give Fitz +1.5 and Marshall -1.5.
Philip Rivers vs. Carson Palmer
I give Rivers a +.5 and Palmer a -.5.
Frank Gore vs. ---
+2. Getting Gore, a top 10 fantasy back who can play like a top 5, this is +2.
____________
2 points for the team receiving Fitz/Rivers.
0 points for the team receiving Marshall, Palmer, and Gore.
The ONLY way I'd accept this trade if I'm getting Marshall, Palmer, and Gore is two things, 1) I lack a true #1 RB and 2) I'm loaded at WR. If any of those options don't apply to you, I'm not doing the trade.
If I'm the team getting Rivers and Fitzgerald. I do this trade in a heart beat as long as I have two backs that are capable of starting full-time.
