If Jordy is out another week, you think Ted brings in Chris? Bring the former Badger home and provide some veteran leadership...

Sorry...I meant Chambers. Chargers just cut him or are there underlying reasons?

Chambers has some $2.5 million remaining on his contract this year that a team would have to eat.

Not to mention a 27% catch rate in a pretty receiver-friendly offense.

Chambers is a vested veteran. As soon as he was cut he became a free agent and his old contract was null and void.

I dont know or havent read why Chambers was cut - but as for the Pack brining him in....I dont think WR is our problem area at the moment. Chambers impact/help would be minimal, unless he feels like bulking up & manning up along the OL.
Speaking of bulking up......
I'd not followed much (read: any) of Ahman's career while with Texas...but it appears that he'd certainly has added some heft.

From
PFT: "any team that lands Chambers on waivers will be required to pick up the balance of his $4.55 million base salary. If he clears waivers, he'll be entitled to collect the remaining $2.4 million as termination pay. He would be permitted to keep that amount even if he signs with a new team as an unrestricted free agent."

Chambers hands are marginally better than Bill Schroeder's. Not at all sure he would improve our team.

He's been pretty much invisible the last 2 seasons in SD. Can't imagine he would help much, especially not knowing the playbook.

Chambers will be picked up by either the Rams or Bears.
The guy can still play and can help either of those teams.
I just hope the Bears don't get him.
A three wide of Knox, Hester and Chambers is scary.
Talk about speed.
The safeties could be 20 yards back pre snap.

He was claimed by the Chiefs about 4 hours ago.
