LeRoy Butler on Browns game, Favre's return to Lambeau
4 topics on the same issue --2 moved, 2 allowed to stay
In the end I don't care where mods decide they want things, but this seems like positional selections since all involve eX-Packers and all are on the same topic

IMO I am surprised you even started this topic. You had to know it would start some arguing. Or was that your intention?

No, it was not my intention to have people argue -- and I didn't read any argument into any of the 4 eX-Packer threads. There were differences, though most of them in one of the surviving two threads (Gotta Love Leroy Butler).
The Packers are playing Brett Favre in Lambeau field. If that is not Packer news what is? We do not move threads about opposing players of that week here at Packer Chatters
Further, one thread is about Don Hutson, Forrest Gregg and Brett Favre - two Pro Football Hall of Famers and one soon to be one who is facing the Packers in Lambeau field for the first time. That is not Packer news? But Leroy Butler and William Henderson, two eX-Packers is???
While certainly NOT THE REASON, perhaps it is one of the reasons there literally a handful of posts in these 4 forums in the last 24 hours, whereas there used to be more that that every minute in the hours leading up the a Green Bay Packer Minnesota Viking showdown for the division lead.
I respect the moderators and the hard job they face, my question is more about consistency than the simple act of moving threads. It leave me totally confused and I am guessing others as well.

Just a guess, but I think the Favre threads get moved out of "Packers News" b/c he's no longer a Packer. Henderson and Butler have retired, but are still in the fold.

Let it go, Bruce.

Two posts are about a current MN Viking player.
Two posts are about Green Bay Packer Players (retired).
Seems pretty obvious.

I've always been annoyed at the way topics are shuffled around willy-nilly on here. Unless they're egregiously misfiled, just leave them alone.
That said, I just browse this forum now by using the "View New Posts" button at the top. Now I don't have to be bothered with threads getting moved to a new sub-forum and not being able to find them anymore.

Well we've been doing it this way since 1996 and have had few complaints.
People could help us out though by READING the specific
Forums subject matter/Topics and that would take care of it....but we understand.
Sorry we can't please everyone.

We like organization here - like it or not, that's the way it's going to be
It's REALLY not that hard to figure out where a post should go....REALLY not hard....

Not sure what happened there, oops. But the view new posts button is one option that I don't care for. By using that feature a poster only reads the most recent posts, which leads to imo a poster repeating a previous idea that may have been brought up several pages ago, or worse helping to keep a thread steered off topic by only reading the last post.

I have no arguement with things getting shuffled around...but must admit that I can get lost looking for the
"click button #1 to continue in Spanish" option.....but its probably just me.

Actually, I've thought of a complaint.....
My coffee this morning was bordering on warm...not steaming like I like it. Perhaps that can be looked into?
p.s. I'm taking the lighthearted route today.......
