http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/65997462.htmlI'm curious what we do about swain. Is Allen our best option?

• We're planning to play the game with the guys we had at the end of the game.
I'll trust this doesn't apply to Flynn...

If we're looking to add another Geezer, I think Joey Galloway is out there.

I guess Allen would be the best option since he has the offense and timing down. I'd like to think there are some better options out there.
Marvin Harrison would be good if not for the weird legal issues.

James Jones can play the 3 and 4 spot simultaneously IMO.

Thanks for starting this thread.
LambeauLeap, MM's statement is profound I think. In effect, he's going with the hot hand and continuity. Given that Wells and Lang played well (apparently), bringing Cliffy and Spitz back slowly would be a luxury. Spitz dressed on Sunday, so I would think that he could go again this week barring any setbacks. That's very telling he's not going back to the starting role.

One swim move/ blind-side sack by Allen and Clifton will be right back in there...

La Ment, my earlier comment was in jest but I will say that the return of Spitz would be important as I don't like how Wells performed against the Williams Wall in Minny.
I'm ok with Lang or Clifton. I'm ok with Barbre or Tauscher. I'm not ok with Wells if Spitz can go.

From the game analysis I saw, pepole were impressed with how a bulked up Wells handled Pat Williams. All their pressure came from the outside in that game. I'd vote for Wells.

I don't think he'd even be a 5th on this team right now. Besides isn't he like almost 50?

In that PC, MM also talks about the call where our kickoff hit the pylon. At the time, I didn't think much about it because I thought, well Cribbs didn't get to touch it and we don't have to worry about the Cleveland O, even if it starts at the 40. But, in retrospect, why should it matter if it hit the pylon on the fly or bounced on the turf first? If this was a punt, hitting the pylon either way would result in a touchback, so why wouldn't a kickoff be the same way? That's a pretty messed up rule if that is the correct ruling.
Note: I'm not whining about it, I'm just curious if that can possibly be right.

Sorry for being out of it, but what sort of legal issues does Harrison have?

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Koren Robinson brought back. Knows the team, knows the playbook, can be a quality kick returner (better than Jackson at least).
I believe he's playing for New York in the UFL right now, too, so he should be in shape.

Can an NFL team sign a player under a UFL contract?

Think that was two years ago, misdemanor stuff, if I remember.

From that, I would deduce that Harrison's a pretty good shot, and that the other guy died damned hard.

The guy lived the first time but was shot and killed later.

I think they're saying the ball hit inches in front of the pylon with some part of the ball on the white of the out of bounds line before it struck the plyon. I guess if it were a punt the ball would have been placed on the 1 inch "line" or so. Wish I had recorded the game so I could take a lot at that. I guess the ref was right there, so he probably got it right.

I think you are right and that's what they are saying. It certainly didn't look like that, but I'll check the DVR if I get a chance.
