Did anyone pay attention to what happened in that Dolphins-Saints game?
With only seconds to go in the first half, the Saints were down 3 touchdowns (ok, with five seconds to go in the half, they scored, so they went into halftime only down 2 td's). Going into the fourth quarter, they were down 10 points. Brees threw three interceptions and fumbled the ball away twice. He was sacked numerous times (five, I think).
Can you imagine what our game day forum thread would look like if the Packers were playing such a game?
As it was, while we blew out an opponent 31-3, gave up zero sacks and zero interceptions, ran for 200 yards, had a QB rating of 154+... we got to hear about how Harris is finished, he's no good; how the team has no leaders; how MM calls a horrible game; and a whole general tenor of how mediocre the team is.
I can hardly imagine the horror story, the nightmare, the pure Dante picture of hell we'd be reading if we were having a game that went for three quarters like the Saints' game did yesterday.
The Saints won by 10 points.

It's a sad world we live in when so many spend their free time finding the bad in everything....

Terry...I would like to add onto this..Not Just about this game but In how we hear about the Bad play and all the IF Scenarios... and How we just beat bad teams....
The BAD Team List..
Raiders
Rams
Lions
Browns
Titans
Bucs
Chiefs
Now what Good teams have the WINS against these teams Considering they must be good since we are Mediocre by some standards on this board... ...hmmm I wonder what teams that are so much better then us that have a W in the WIN column....lets take a look....
Patsies - Beat the titans 59-0 and TB 35-7.....
Broncos- Beat the Brownies 27-6 and also Raiders 23-3
Bengals - Beat the Brownies 23-20 in OT They still have Raiders, KC and Lions on there schedule
Steelers - Beat Titans 13-10 in OT,Beat the Lions 28-20 , Beat the Brownies 27-14
Colts- Beat the Rams 42-6 , Beat the Titans 31-9, they still Titans again
Giants- Beat the Bucs 24-0 , beat KC 27-16, Beat Raiders 44-7
Dallas ...beat TB 34-21, also beat KC 26-20 and that Took OT
Cardinals- None Yet...
Queens- Beat Brownies 34-20 , Beat Lions 27-13, Beat Rams 38-10
Saints- Beat Lions 45-27 also get Rams and Bucs twice...
So it does appear with the exception of the Cardinals that every team that has record better then 4-2 has had some of the Bottom Feaders.
Also to note there are only 3 teams that show that they beat these bottom feeders convincingly ..the Patsies and Colts...and the Aints....
And not everyone was a blowout..... But Yet there is no detraction from there record ... I can agree we have beat only one team that is not a bottom feeder...But I am glad that we are beating the Bottom feeders convincingly and seeing iimprovement each week...but Success ala Winning Breeds WINNNING attitudes... and that is what a young Team needs...
And By the way , I did hear yesterday that was stated by Driver...Everyone knows MR. PACKER..Stated that Mr Rodgers is the LEADER of this team and a darn Good one....Just maybe this guy Driver knows something...I know I will take his word on this....
Now realizing this and having some hindsight....it is always 20/20...The Packers needed to PLAY There A Game , and a complete A game to beat the Bengals ( which I think they overlooked) and the Queens... When you play good or the top NFL teams. You need to play your A game..Penalities down, 3 rd Down conversions, Turnovers ..etc...This is what this team will have to do in the upcoming weeks to finish out the season and it does show by soem upsets and close games they can take no one lightly....

I guess I'm coming from a slightly different point of view. I always follow the Saints since I am originally from that area and they are my 2nd favorite team. I was disappointed when I saw that they were losing and by such a large margin and was thrilled when they mounted a come-back. Now if I followed them the way I follow the Packers, I would probably been pulling my hair out over the 1st half and jumping for joy during the 2nd.
It does remind me that even if a team is down by several touch-downs if they can adjust their game plan to make corrections and they can come from behind and win. I have to admit that I forget that some times and get very down when the Pack has been down and trailing by a large margin.

As one gets older, playing the role of an unquestioning cheerleader gets boring, or at the least un fulfilling at least. I don't know. I just like watching football.

Nice one. And after Armageddon (which in this case is the fourth quarter), peace reigns again. At least for Saints fans.
