Reading JSOnline and it says Nelson will miss at least a few weeks with a sprained knee. He was on crutchs after the game. This puts the Packers down to 4 healthy WR. Meaning the TE should get more invovled.

Suffering a setbackWide receiver Jordy Nelson, who had put together strong back-to-back games and had a 100-yard kickoff return Sunday called back because of a penalty, will be out several weeks with a knee sprain. He needed the aid of crutches Monday.

Nelson was hurt in the first quarter after muffing a punt and did not return.

As a result, James Jones, who had been sharing time with Nelson, will become the full-time No. 3 receiver. Jones had his best game of the season in the victory over Detroit on Sunday, catching two passes for 55 yards, including a 47-yard touchdown.

"He's been playing about 30 plays a game and had some opportunities yesterday, and he definitely cashed in on them," coach Mike McCarthy said. "He's even trying to play a little more on special teams. I think James is improving and we have all the confidence in the world in James."

McCarthy also said that tackle Mark Tauscher would need at least another week of rehab before he was ready to practice in full and would not be available to play Sunday.

Jordy shouldn't've been returning that punt anyway...he was a kick returner in college, not a punt returner, and proved in the previous game that he has trouble fielding punts. Tramon Williams has shown he can be special returning punts, so I have no idea in the world why he wasn't/isn't the primary punt returner with Blackmon out.

Sad to see him hurt doing on-the-job training.

too bad about Nelson. he's one of the better kick returners in the league. i checked the stats on him: he's 6th in KR average at 29.3 and has yet to return one less than 20 yards (meaning he's very consistent and makes good decisions). his style seems to be "find a seam and go" rather than dance for a while and end up with 12 yards like some other guys in the league.

Time for James Jones to step his game up. If he does he could be the outright #3 option.
