Full Version: Sport Bars?

How can you put up 4 or 5 tvs, and a couple of pictures on the wall and call it a sports bar? This is not a sports bar!! If you are playing country music on the speaker instead of the announcers for the Badger game, it is not a sports bar!!
I won't mention the name of this so called sports bar that just opened up in Green bay, but after it just recently opened I was sadly disappointed.
The most important issue with a sports bar is location of the tvs. I don't want to be looking up to the heavens coming home with a stiff neck location. And I am sorry if I like my tvs big, 40" ers don't cut it when they are 15 feet off the ground. I miss Damons which was behind Prime Quarter, they did it right with a big screen and smaller tvs surrounding it. They also had speakers at the tables so you could listen to your game. I realize such a layout costs a lot of scratch. I can't remember how much it costs per person, but I know it goes by the capacity of the establishment. This is probably why Damons went belly up. Besides that the location kind of sucked.
Right now Wild Wings is probably my favorite bar to watch games, followed by the Ale House in Howard. Today I will be going to the Satadium View and watch todays game in the banquet hall. You get a huge screen and a pretty good crowd to watch it with.
So what are the best sport bars that you guys have been to?

I like Sconnie's on Riverside Dr. Smaller, not a bunch of tv's, but comfortable.

I'm gonna try Tom, Dick and Harrys next time there is an away game. I here they have a 20 foot screen!!!
