Saw this on your FB. This is really good news for folks like me who no longer live in GB. I live near Detroit (Toledo), and we usually wait until the Friday before a game to see if the miserable Lions are going to be blacked out. Sunday ticket is too expensive when you're really just looking for broadcast of the 8-9 games not televised anyway ($38/game!?). I can only pray the Lions will receive a ticket boost from Packer fans attending on Thanksgiving. I'm also growing weary of Fox's choices for the late afternoon game. I can only watch Dallas play so much b4 I start heaving. You can be certain Nov. 1st is marked on my calender, and I've already stocked up on beers and charcoal. GO PACK!

Well, it's no longer a possibility - apparently, it's a done deal. At least it is if Bedard is right about the NFL having made the announcement, which no doubt he is.

I love this line (and I say 'love' with the utmost sarcasm):
The NFL's stated reason is to avoid a conflict with a possible World Series game in Philadelphia.

I do get tired of it. I'd rather they said nothing about their reasons, but simply announced it. It's like the Emperor's new clothes part II, after the boy shouted out the truth, but everyone decided to go on pretending anyway.

Thanks Rrrrr.

We always take two days getting home (700 miles). Between pregame, the emotion of the game, and the traffic out of there it can make for a long drive even with two people.

I heard the hold up from doing this was that they (the networks) never want to show both NY teams at the same time. glare.gif
