Ok, so yes coming off a tough loss to Min, but have to give CM3 his due for the great strip of AP for a TD. In what I have seen he has played very well after missing some time. I have to admit I cringe each time I see Pop on the field instead of him. Pop's only strength IMO is playing the run and he has not been doing all that well there IMO. Oddly though I have not seen CM3 rush the passer much this season. Am I just not seeing it or are they playing him mostly to his coverage strengths? CM had an unbelievable 10 yard split time and should have a great burst on the pass rush, so hopefully will see him getting more chances for big plays. On a somewhat related note, Jeremy Thompson has dropped from the charts due to injury and some soft play against the run, still am hoping to see some of him on the field soon too. I hate to say anything negative about such a hard working player as AK, but he has not looked good so far. Just seems far fetched that AK would be back next year being a free agent, so may be good to get some plays out of Thompson to see if he is a gamer...

I think Jeremy Thompson's problem is similar to Vernon Gholston's - it all comes down to attitude. I get the impression that despite the physical prowess of Thompson he's just not a violent or aggressive enough player to really do well at the position.

As far as AK goes, maybe it's just me and I'd love to hear from others on this, but rushing the passer he doesn't look much different than he did in years past, he's just getting there slower. I know standing is different than putting his hand down, but he has the same moves and same power. As a matter of fact, if you go back to last season, he had only 2 sacks in the final 7 games of the season, both coming in one game against Carolina. The season before that, in 2007, Kampman got off to a great start with 8 sacks in 7 games before tailing off as the season wore on and finishing with just 4 in the final 9.

Could it be that Kampman is simply mired in a slump that was taking place regardless of the scheme? Or worse, that he's been in decline since the second half of last season? Are the results of the 2007 and 2008 seasons a trend. i.e. that he wears down as the season goes on and his sack production will dip accordingly? If so, what does that tell us about him as a player going forward this season and in the future?

Lots of talk about whether he wants to stick with the Packers. Maybe we should ask just as often if the Packers want to stick with him...?
