Leodis McKelvin didn't know what to think when he arrived home after the devastating loss to the Patriots. He felt bad enough after fumbling late in the game against New England, allowing the Patriots to score the winning touchdown in the final minute Monday night when it looked like the Bills would pull off an upset.

His greeting when he stepped out of his car about 1 a.m. Tuesday was white paint splashed across his lawn, reminding him of his ill-advised decision to vacate the end zone when settling for a touchback was the safer play. Once he took a closer look, he understood how cold Buffalo could be in defeat...

...They contemplated pelting his house with eggs before spray painting an image of a male body part and the words "kneel down," followed by an expletive. They were good spellers.

Too many nowdays don't think of the consequences of their actions. Neither do they really look at the big picture. It is a game. A lot posters here have mentioned how they cannot watch the game and enjoy it. They are nervous and worried before and during. It is a game and it is entertainment. Sure, I want GB to win and play well, but I don't get that bent when they lose. A little bit when the play very poorly. When I was asked when I would cut this player or go after that player, my response is, "it is not my call".

I don't always agree with team, but basically support them. I feel they deserve it. I am not saying, we should not criticize the team, but this is just going one step more and one step more and one step more. Why do people want to fight a fan from another team? Makes no sense to me. Why can't we cheer for our team and be happy with the effort?

Buffalo is known to have very good fans, but knuckleheads like this made them all look bad.

Incidently, I think he was right to take that ball out of the endzone. There was 2:06 left on the clock. He had two objectives in that situation. 1. Hang on the ball (he failed there, obviously). 2. Burn off 6 seconds so the Pats don't get an extra timeout at the 2 minutes warning. I think that's why he was fighting so hard. He wanted to keep the clock moving.

I suppose he could have run around the end zone until the pursuit got there, and then took a knee or run out of the back of the endzone.

But he certainly shouldn't have just taken a knee.

Didn't someone shoot Dan Devine's dog? I'm just sayin'....

I used to really let the game get me down, two games that come to mind are losing the Super Bowl and when Randy Moss schooled us on Monday night of his rookie year. I am like you I'll still get a little peeved when I see sloppy play, but have done a lot better job at keeping my emotions in check.

I'm not going to condone what the two 16 year olds did, but its like some people here haven't, say, TP'd someone's house after getting mad at them or something. In the past, nothing would have been thought about it, probably. Someone got ticked off and vandalized something, whatever. Today, someone does this and people are fearing for their lives.

That is a fact. I don't think Terry was comparing fans. Anything along those lines is stupid and more than likely illegal.

I still get pretty wound up during games, but get over more quickly as I get older.

I think this is all the more reason to show composure when we go to games. Fans from other teams have a great experience at Lambeau, because even though we might jaw with them its nothing personal. I went to the Playoff game vs. Seattle in 07' and brought the girl I was dating at the time. She is a seahawks fan and was wearing a branch jersey. She had fun with the back and forth, at least until midway through the second quarter when some drunks just started being ridiculous. You could see the people with the two guys were glare at them, as to say, did you just say that. The reason I'm proud to be a Packer fan is it very unlikely to run into a situation like that. When you go to see a game in Green Bay everyone wins. Live the game, Love the game, but we will only lose the game when we push things to far.

What's the matter with people?, It's only a game fercrissakes!

As a species, we're fundamentally insane.

Well, someone did shoot his dog, but it had nothing to do with football.

This is correct. It's a popular misconception that lingers to this day that disgruntled Packer fans vented their frustrations on one of Devine's dogs, a misconception created by Devine himself in an interview with TIME magazine. It wasn't until Devine's autobiography was published in 2000 (two years before his death), that Devine revealed the dog was shot by a farmer who attempted to scare it away after it wandered onto his land and attacked his livestock. Sadly, the power of urban myth persists...
