Full Version: How about that ending in the Denver-Cincinnati game?

Kind of fun to see Kyle Orton win and Jay Cutler lose their first game after that trade.

I've already heard that play called the "Immaculate Deflection."

It reminded me why I love sitting on the couch every Sunday in the fall...what a crazy, fun way to end a game. And where was watching it, it was in bonus coverage after the regularly scheduled game was over. It was fun to be able to see a play like that unfold in real time.

Exciting play. That is why the safety plays the ball and not the man.

I felt bad for the Bengals - kind of took a liking to them after watching the HBO Hard Knocks show

I didn't. Look at the schedule. Less confidence the better, especially from a team that has done nothing but lose in recent years.

I live in Ohio - watched their fans suffer for quite some time - schedule and Packers excluded, I felt for them

The thing is, that nobody stayed back to make sure and tackle Stokely if something went wrong. They make a tackle there and they still probably win the game. The Bengals were pretty bad and didn't deserve to win the game IMO. I hope they play that poorly next week in Lambeau. A last second loss like that tends to mess with a team's confidence and I'm hoping that they get off to a slow start next week and the Offense has a chance to get on a roll again.

NFL Redzone had flipped to that coverage just as the bungles took the lead.. It was truly awesome to watch. The announcer was priceless!

Not slamming the Bengals. Would feel the same about any team we play next. The more excrusiating loss the better.

Cincy must be pissed! Will be a tough game for the Pack next week.

I don't think so. Denver's D is terrible and the Bengals only managed 7 points against it. Packers win 31-6.

I believe that was Roy Williams who came up to put the extra lick on Marshall. He vacated hit spot to make the big hit when he should have been staying at home to prevent the big play.

I respectfully disagree.

Pissed is when you get blown out at your house. Devastated is when you lose like that. They have got be wondering "What does it take to win a game?" After being beat up the last couple of years by the likes of the Steelers and Ravens.

The Packers should handle this one easily unless I put $$ which I am thinking of doing. ohmy.gif

I really liked the awareness Stokely had to use up a little bit of extra time on the TD run by running parallel to the goalline. But what a lucky play. I remember back in the mid-90's the Broncos beat the Vikes in Minnesota on a similar kind of play, a tipped ball in the end zone that went to Ed McCaffery, I think. I guess they get one of those once a decade.

It reminded me of a game against the Vikings too. In overtime, when Freeman fell down, but the ball bounced off his hip and he made a heads up play to catch it. Then, while the DB was celebrating, he got up and ran in for a TD.

Let's hope a week from today, you're not wishing you had felt a bit more sorry for them. I'm a little superstitious about schadenfreude, I guess.

But seriously, there's no telling how a team will respond to being kicked in the arse by the fickle finger of fate like that. It certainly could demoralize them, as some suggest. But it could have the opposite effect too.
