Lost in the shuffle this offseason was the fact that the Packers traded long snapper J.J. Jansen to the Carolina Panthers for "future considerations," i.e. a conditional draft pick.
Apparently, the Packers will gain a seventh round draft pick in 2011 if Jansen makes the roster. He's the only long snapper in camp and from everything I've seen he's been just fine.
So it looks like we may be days away from gaining another draft pick.
Oh yeah, and the guy we traded away didn't even cost a draft pick...he was an undrafted free agent.
