Its a 10 team league. I feel real stupid now for making that trade.
I picked up ray rice and dropped cedric benson what do you guys think about that?
Okay, well what's done is done. By what everybody has already told you, you shouldn't have traded Gore and Jennings. Jennings should be just as good as Wayne this year.
Have you seen SF's QB's? Yikes. Gore's been banged up, true. But he's healthy and Gore could very likely get about 325-350 carries this year. SF is going to run the ball, run the ball some more and when that doesn't work, they'll run the ball again.
Gore is in line to have a monster year this year. Injury is a concern but not big enough to bail on him for all the touches he's going to get.
But oh well.
To your latest move...if I was you I'd immediately put a claim in for Rice.
I've been following the Rice situation very closely this year because not only has he won the starting job, he's impressed the coach's enough to probably end up giving him the full load and making McGahee a backup who wouldn't even split the carries.
Now, Rice is playing behind a BAL line that has a couple of rookies on it. But, in about another week, we're going to know if Rice has done well enough to completely take over the carries for BAL except when he needs a rest. And by all accounts, I think that will happen. So if this does occur, 1,100 yards and 6-7 TD's isn't out of his reach. Benson may crack a 1,000 yards and may get 5 TD's, but it will be an inconsistent one for him.
Get Rice back, but I'd also keep Benson for depth. Drop Shonn Greene for Rice. Greene is currently sitting at #3 on the Jets' depth chart and that's behind 2 pretty good backs. Plus he's out for the rest of the preseason. Greene will remain in your FA pool for a while. And possibly the whole year.
