In looking back, I may have a bit too much potential vs production with the RB's, but I am expecting big things this year from Rice and Thomas, and I think that Brown may come on near the end of the year as Addai wears down.

at a boy... great job in not picking Viking, Bears or Lions players!

Don't forget, no stinkin' Cowboys either. tongue.gif

I know Finley is one of the best kept secrets out there. I have to confess I didn't know Scaife was considered draftable, though. You like him as a sleeper? I might have gone more with one of the more proven options at TE. Seems like a deep position this year where you might have done better.

But you have some nice RB depth, which will come in handy with having the flex spot.

Overall for a 12 team league, it looks pretty good. As you said, there's a lot of upside guys at the expense of more proven players, but you have to take some risks. Good luck.

Our league is a bit different in that we don't draft all 16 players (10 starters, 6 bench) but only draft 14. Then the last 2 spots are waivers for 2 days and then FA free for all. My plan all along was to wait until the end and pickup Finley and get the best FA TE out there. All of the other guys had drafted 1 by the end though, so there wasn't a lot out there. I put in waivers for Fassano, but didn't get him. Was kind of surprised as I was 3rd on the list, but whatever. I then looked at who was left and decided on Scaife. Not sold on him yet.

These are the guys that are left. I'm thinking about Lee, Pope, Heap, and Davis, but not sure if they are any better than Scaife.

Alge Crumpler (Ten - TE)
Ben Utecht (Cin - TE)
Billy Miller (NO - TE)
Brad Cottam (KC - TE)
Brandon Myers (Oak - TE)
Brandon Pettigrew (Det - TE)
Chase Coffman (Cin - TE)
Chris Baker (NE - TE)
Daniel Graham (Den - TE)
David Martin (Mia - TE)
Derek Schouman (Buf - TE)
Donald Lee (GB - TE)
Gijon Robinson (Ind - TE)
Jared Cook (Ten - TE)
Jeff King (Car - TE)
Jerramy Stevens (TB - TE)
L.J. Smith (Bal - TE)
Leonard Pope (Ari - TE)
Marcedes Lewis (Jac - TE)
Randy McMichael (StL - TE)
Robert Royal (Cle - TE)
Todd Heap (Bal - TE)
Vernon Davis (SF - TE)
Jeremy
Wow. Slim pickings at TE indeed. A lot of people only draft 1 TE, but judging by that list, most must have taken 2. I'd maybe try Vernon Davis. See if Singletary can light a fire under his butt.
Heatseeker
Only problem I have is almost all those running backs are going to be splitting carries.

Of course, that didn't hurt LenDale White last year, so know knows......
grabthar
I decided to pick up Vernon Davis and cut Scaife.

I know what you mean about the RB's sharing carries, but I think one or two of them will grab the reigns and step up this year and be a feature back. I hope so at least.

If anyone takes Heap this year, they'll be sorry.

He'll be assigned extra blocking plays this year. He'll be lucky to grab 30 balls.

I've made another change already.

Finley is showing me that he is going to be a better starter than any TE on the list, so I am going with him. I dropped Vernon Davis and picked up James Davis, the backup RB from Cleveland. I know, it's another RB that has potential, but I really am not impressed with Lewis and think he may get a good chance this year.

Your team is OK, but I really think you reached on that Finley pick. It is highly doubtful that anyone in your league would have picked him up after you, not the least of all me.

-For the record Grabthar, not only did you snatch Finley from me, but I was so irritated I mentioned it in passing to a guy at work who is in my other league. I didn't mention what round he went in, so the guy reached for him early and then apologized to me for it. It was a big reach for him (I think he was the 4th TE drafted) but he knew I dug him and didn't want to risk waiting.
So yeah. I'm never playing Poker. Ever.
And you're going down.

I think Martellus Bennett is going to have a big year in Dallas. Very possible he grabs more TDs than Witten.

Wha????

I think you got the Cat Scratch Fever,
but good luck with that prediction!!

Go Pack!!

Well, I can't sit still when playing. More changes.

I dropped Garrard and will go with 1 QB. I'll pick up someone off the waiver wire for the 1 week Rodgers is on bye.
I also dropped Washington and am going with New Orleans as Defense. I know Washington will be decent, but N.O. starts with Detroit, Philly, Buffalo for the first 3 weeks and should have 2 good games out of 3. Also, I think Gregg Williams will do a great job there and the defense will better than people expect. I also picked up Mike Bell who I'm pretty sure is starting against the Lions and should get a lot of carries since Thomas is really banged up. If Thomas comes back next week, I'll drop him and pick up someone from the waiver wire.

Here is my current roster:
