I got my draft this weekend, the first year of a PPR(1 Pt. Per) Keeper League. I drew #2 overall, lucky me.

The guy in front of me has foolishly decided he's taking AP no matter what. Which is kinda dumb, IMO. But I understand why he's taking him. He's the flashy, ritzy pick in most drafts but not the smartest with our draft settings.

So technically, I'm on the clock. I really think this pick boils down to two players, MJD and Forte?

Let's hear your reasoning there, but also...I have been offered a deal...

I trade: #2 and #19
I receive: #10 and #11

With my options at #2, what do you think I should do?

Jones-Drew. I think he is going to be a all around stud. Jones-Drew will be a upper number one RB this year and for many more. I think Forte is a nice back but not nearly as good as Jones-Drew. Also at 10 and 11 you will get nice players but end up with a lower number one high number 2 quality back. IMO you are giving up more in the 2nd and 19th then getting back in 10 and 11.

Well I have MJD currently ranked as my #1 RB and I have Forte #7. I have MJD getting about 250 more rushing yards, 100 more receiving yards and 2 more TD's then Forte.

I would undoubtedly take MJD over Forte in your position.

Now, in regards to the trade offer.

If the draft order snakes, then I WOULD accept that trade IF you were in a 12 team league. Since I assume the guy has #10 and #11, it's because it's a 10 team league, therefore I wouldn't do the trade.

I ALWAYS prefer lower draft position in snake leagues then higher positions. Because by the time it gets back around to you in the 2nd round, you'll most likely have to choose between low end #2 RBs or low end #1 WRs. Unlike having the #10 and #11 picks where you can grab two #1 RBs or a #1 RB and a #1 WR.

But in a 10 team league, I don't care what my draft position is. Those 2 less owners, makes a big difference on who's available for the owners at the top of the draft. So accepting this trade in your circumstances wouldn't make sense to me.

Interestingly enough we play with a "franchise player" in our league where you can tag a keeper for the next year; my buddy had to pick between MJD and Forte because he had them both last year and chose MJD. I think if I were in your position, I'd do the same and go with mighty mite

i just did my 10 team ppr draft and ended up with Forte. I had pick 6 so I felt really lucky to get him there. I dont think either will be a bad pick, so you cant really go wrong, but I would probably go with MJD if I were you...

dont do the trade. I would stick with MJD or Forte with your first pick and go WR/WR with you next two.. you could get a couple guys in the range of White, Jennings, Wayne, Colston.. Definitely a good combo in a PPR league

I wouldn't do the trade either. and I would take MJD over Forte.

Now if you were going to trade #2 for his #10 and #11 i'd jump all over that.. but throwing #19 in just doesn't seem to equal out IMO.
