A good friend of mine in the DC area told me that this past Tuesday (August 11) Brett and the Ravens' owner were seen having dinner together in one of the fancier Annapolis' restaurants. I don't believe they have any type of prior relationship before this. But, maybe they were just talking charity stuff????

Backup? I'd take the gig to stay in the League before I had 40 years to do nothing.
I doubt Favre would want to be a backup. I suppose any time Favre is seen with anyone from any NFL team the rumor mill will run wild!
