Cool. Good for him. I'm glad he landed on a team I don't hate. I'm sort of rooting for him.

I agree. He was special to watch when he was on the football field.

Odd place to land.. They already have Westbrook , Deshaun Jackson and MCnabb as playmakers , They have Kolb a #1 pick a few years ago as a back up. The spent a #1 on a WR. In a city that is a brutal to its players as any.
Wow I did not see him as an Eagle and I do not think it is a good fit.

I'd prefer he was out out of the NFC. Probably won't matter that much, but don't want any surprises in Jan. on the way to The Pack's hopefully deep playoff run.

Perhaps TT tried to sign him but was outbid at the last minute? Has it ever happened before?

I'd say Vick is extremely lucky in the sense that he's going to a Super Bowl contender, a stable franchise. And there really won't really be any pressure on him because they have McNabb running the ship. He'll be able to slowly get back into football shape and make a few select appearances is special package plays. He can try to mold himself into a drop-back quarterback behind Dante, and what better role model for him. He's lucky. I think we'll see him in the slot and the backfield. Adding Vick to a group that includes Westbrook and Jackson should be pretty potent.

I remember there were about 7 teams that had not publicly said they didn't want Vick. Were the Eagles one of them?

Maybe he didn't make a 'bid' at all.
Good for Vick to get another chance...just glad it's not in GB.
Thanks TT.

Im a little split on this.
On one hand he has paid his debt and deserves a second chance.
On the other hand Im a dog lover and I think what he did was he unforgivable.
The first is common sense the second is my personal opinion. Common sense will win out over a opinion anyday so good luck Vick and I hope the Eagles fall flat on their face this season.

I suppose good for him. But like everyone said about Favre, if he's on another team, he's the enemy. So I can't really say I'm rooting for him. Especially when it's on a team as potent and well-coached as the Eagles.
Either way, I'll probably pay a bit more attention to Philly games this season.

As a dog lover it's hard to forgive this guy. I wish he could meet my dog Marley. She'd take care of him!

Maybe he did.
I really don't care either way. I think it's a good thing that there won't be a media frenzy in GB this August.

I saw a sign on Sport Center tonight
"Hide your beagle, Vick's an Eagle"
I thought that was funny since we have a beagle

I don't even have a beagle and I thought it was funny.

Vick's more a Sportcenter highlight than an accomplished NFL QB. His values always been overblown because he offers such good commentary. Too bad the Eagles dont play in Cleveland this year...the Dog Pound would be rocking.

Off topic, but that's the third Marley I've heard of.
The second was the Marley of book and film fame. The first was the son of my now elderly bitch, who went to a friend - she was a Caribbean, thus the name (Bob Marley). Their life together was not dissimilar to the film/book Marley. And now, the third - your's.
