Just before the first regular season game Ill update the whole works.

Just a note: None of the players listed as UFA have caught on with an NFL team thus far this season except Lenon and Manuel.

Plus undrafted rookie TE Carson Butler recently cut by the Packers has signed with Detrot.

In addition QB Ingle Martin was cut by KC.

"49ers | Francies signed
Sat, 08 Aug 2009 07:45:36 -0700

Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports the San Francisco 49ers have signed free-agent WR Chris Francies (Packers). Terms of the deal were not disclosed. "

Lombardi had some interesting Sunday thoughts

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Sunday...-Post-7296.html

Lets startt with a former Packer:

""6. Wide receiver Antonio Chatman of the Bengals is 30 years old, but everyone in Cincinnati feels like he’s going to have a good season with Carson Palmer now healthy. Chatman had 21 catches last year and no touchdowns."

I dont want to leave TT out as he continues to be the lighttening rod for Packer controversey with his gross lack of effective communications skills..:

"3. In spite of the bad body language at the press conference where Packers General Manager Ted Thompson tried to dodge, but not answer, the question, some people in the front office think Michael Vick could really give the offense some flexibility. Internally, the feeling is that after the Favre circus, handling Vick would be nothing, and the media attention would not bother them. If they decide to sign Vick, it would be for a specific role."

And finally this quote from Einstein which perfectly captures the major drawback of engaging in posting on discussion sites.:

“Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.” -- Albert Einstein

Can you say "desperation"?

No not at all. Dimitroff said yesterday that they will check waiver wire closer to final cuts. What this seems to me is a body in camp

Oakland's Terdell Sands (DT) used to be a Packer too.
stick56
Thanks that was abit of atoughy to know.

"After getting released from the Chiefs he was signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad. After getting signed to the active roster he played one game for the Packers, before getting released.'

I'll add him.

Thanks.
Jerry in Connecticut
Okay.....other than the ones mentioned in the thread, I've found two more. Jeremy's brother, Orrin Thompson is now with the NY Giants and Seattle has Grey Rugaemer on their roster. I always liked Grey.

There should be some veteran free agents signing on after some training camp mishaps around the league. I can't imagine Mike McKenzie not finding a home and Vonnie Holliday will likely be on someone's roster. Some times these type of guys get picked up after the start of the season so their contract doesn't have to be gauranteed. Contracts are gauranteed for vested veterans if they are on the opening day roster.

Tauscher and Ahman would be a couple of others to watch.

While alot of the guys on the list will get cut at the end of camp, I think a lot of the players we cut this year will end up on a number of other rosters. I can't remember a year where I think we will be cutting so much talent.

Thanks Ruegamer I knew about but Thompson I misssed .
