The game is Sunday Nov. 8th 1pm EST, week 9. How about getting together for a roadtrip and tailgate party in Tampa?
LMG mentioned we might be able to get a Packer Chatter banner to hold up proudly at RJS. I'm on a couple Packer message boards and this is our 3rd year bringing bloggers and chatters together for road trips.
We had one 2 years ago with about 25+ people from 7 different states in Miami. We had one last year with about 10-15 people (plus many more who stopped by to get some WI made brats!) for Jacksonville game, again from several different states. We are hoping to have a great turnout this year in Tampa!
I'm also going to coordinate with Bernie, he is the ultimate expert tailgate professional, one like you have never seen! He's got a Packers tent, mobile kitchen, the works! He's on this board and he's a Tampa area resident. We'll get more details about the tailgating as we get closer.
Both years we've had people from WI either fly down with Brats or have them fedex'd overnight with dry ice. This year we'll definitely do the same. There's a special place in WI where they get them from, amazing!
Let me know if you are interested in tailgating with us. If you will be coming from out of town, let me know so I can look up hotels, both years I've found hotels willing to get us discounted group rates. If you need tix let me know so I can get a count of how many group tix I need to get.
We've had fun every year! So come and join us! Just reply to this thread or you can PM me to let me know you are interested if you plan on bringing anyone!

I was at the Tampa game last year and there was no shortage of Packer fans in the main tailgate areas. It was a blast!!
I am trying to arrange to get down there again this year as I have a friend that lives in Tampa. If I arrange it I will let you know.
Lets just hope for a better results and no injuries (aside from Jenkins going down I'll never forget looking down the field and saying "why is matt flynn in the game!!!")

Getting close again to getting the PC Banner ready for the tailgates.
If you would like to reserve the 'sign able' PC banner for your 'event'
email us for more information. We obviously need this information well in advance to schedule.

I've been researching and calling Tampa area hotels all week. I've heard back from the sales managers and got some great deals. I've narrowed it down to 2, but really price wise I think Comfort Suites is the best. Here's the breakdown:
Quorum Hotel (87% positive rating out of 151 reviews on Trip Advisor, ranked 6th best hotel for Tampa, 4 star hotel). Regular rate is $109, a commitment of 10 rooms would be $89 with free internet. Also includes free parking, free airport shuttle, and free game day shuttle to RJS. Only 2.5 miles from the RJS. They also have free drink vouchers and chair massages. Breakfast is a huge full buffet for $9.95. They were the designated hotel for the Pittsburg Steeler family and friends during the superbowl, so it's a pretty nice place and has a top reputation.
Comfort Suites Tampa (100% ranking but out of only 8 reviews, ranked 7th on tripadvisor). Special internet rate $69, group rate is $59 but they won't force us to commit to 10 even if we only need 5 rooms, they are cool with that. Free parking, free continental breakfast (includes make your own waffle and one rotating hot item and the regular stuff), free internet. No free airport or game shuttle, but reliable van service available for airport, airport is nearby so it's relatively inexpensive. ALL rooms are suites, all have microwave and fridge and have pullout sofa or rollaway bed available. Distance from RJS is 6 miles about 10 minutes away (15 on game day). I spoke to the sales manager she says they are really a $109 a night hotel, but they are only a year old so they don't have a reputation and are trying to bring in business, especially during a tough economy. They will eventually be at $109, but for now just to beat the competition they are offering 50% off their desired rate. I think this is a steal! Plus we don't have the pressure of committing to a certain number of rooms. The lady was real nice, she gave me her cell phone number and was very accommodating.
Let me know if you need a hotel room so I can give you the info to get booked at the group rate.

The PackerChatters traveling banner will be at Lambeau for the 'Green' home games starting with the opener against the Bears.
RMan will be in charge of the tailgate at the traditional place in the backyard at 900 Stadium Drive adjoining the southeast parking lot.

Looks like the banner will then go to Cleveland before making it's way down to Tampa.
Send email requests to display the PC banner at your road game tailgate.

Not sure yet, I haven't called my broker. There are a couple options, we get a block of tickets, but then you are at the mercy of what's available for groups of 10-20 tickets together. Usually they aren't the best seats, because they are high up or deep in the back of the endzone, but either way it's still fun because you're in a group and you can still clearly see the game.
So far I have about 15-20 people considering going. Just browsing at blocks of tickets of 14-16 online they have upper level 340 or 342 for $104 or $109. They also have lower level back endzone in groups of 14-18 level 120 and 150 for $132 and $135. I don't think I'd go for these seats, if we go upper level I'd want something more centered but it depends on availability. The last two years we had upper level seats but they were around the 20 yard line and they worked out great.
The second option is, some people tailgate with us and get the hotel, but then go off and get their own tickets because they #1 want to save money or #2 they want great seats and have a lot more flexibility for just 2 people.
Again, I haven't called my broker yet, I've been dealing with him for YEARS, so he usually tells me the situation on tickets.
The two options work so people can budget themselves accordingly. Once I get some better numbers on how many people are coming, I can have my broker begin finding the best tickets.

So, me and 4 other of my friends are going down the the Packer-Bucs game on Nov. 8th. So we have 5 people and we would like to only get 1 hotel room. Is there any hotels around Raymond James Stadium that allow 5 people in one room? Thanks

How would the hotel know how many people you have in the room?

I wouldn't walk 5 people into the room at once, but the comfort suites has 2 double beds and a pull out sofa. You could probably squeeze 5 in there without much trouble.

I'm going to call my broker this week. I'm hoping to get some final numbers on how many people we have.
I have about 17 people who need game tix and 26 tailgaters. I think about 10 people need hotel rooms.
Let me know if you need tix, and/or hotel and/or just tailgating.

OK, the brats have arrived! My brother sent them in dry ice overnight, they came in this morning.
So who's all in the mood for some brats? We purchased a block of 10-12 of tickets plus another 10 or so people have mentioned they want to get together for tailgating.
Let me know if you are looking for some people to tailgate with, we have PACKER BRATS from WI!!!

I wasn't getting a deal with my broker or finding much online. Getting 11 seats together was a bit tough, so I called up Tampa ticket office group sales, and I started speaking with them but their min. is 20, most stadiums I've seen group sales in min. 20.
So I was just waiting hoping Tampa would keep losing to push the street price down. Then Tampa group sales called me and I said I can only do 11 and they said they would make an exception.

Wonder why? Although they did tell me they were almost sold out.
I got face value at $85, and I shopped around and even my broker said that was fair. It's around the 5-10 yard line 300 level, I'll look up the section again. But the prices were better than what I saw online.

Can’t wait! I’ve been planning this trip form month’s and it’s good to hear ParkerChatters Nation will be there in force. I’ve already bought tickets and made arrangement but I would love to stop by and tailgate with the PackreChatters Nation. I only have two questions, where and when? Go Pack!

We start early because we boil our brats in onions and beer first so it takes a while.
We'll probably setup 3 hours before kickoff around 10AM.
PM me and we'll exchange cell numbers and I'll let you know which parking lot we end up in.
Unless you have a recommendation? I've heard some of those lots have hardcore tailgating areas.

Yes. Comfort Suites allows max capacity of 6 people. That is where PackerChatter nation is staying. We've got a block of rooms at a special rate of $59, they raised their rates to $89.
Call 813- 880-8938 and book under "chawla" to get the group rate.
