They say he will want a trade if they get Favre. But if no one offers anything for him and they would cut him would you want the Pack to bring him in? I would look at it. I think with the proper coaching which he would get with MM because Minn coaches are a joke that Jackson could become a good QB. Also I think if the Packers wanted to put in a wildcast play they could use him.

i agree that jackson could become a good qb because i think that minnesota is what's holding him back. but, i doubt that he would get cut because jdb would be the first to go and they can't have just sage as a backup can they? i don't blame him for wanting a trade if favre comes though, because who would want to be stuck around all the drama that he'll bring to minnsota?

With better coaches TARVARIS Jackson could be a decent QB, but I don't think I'd want him. We already have a very talented QB group with Rodgers, Brohm, and Flynn. If we were to sign him, we'd probably have to cut either Brohm or Flynn, and I don't think we're ready to give up on either one yet. Besides, he's Childress' investment, and I don't think he's ready to admit he was wrong.

No way. His very good O-Line allowed him to look better as he is. He is a worse Vince Young. We are settled with our QB's.

I was thinking about him as a wildcat option. I'm actually more comfortable with Favre at QB for the Viles because with T-Jack, there's actually a chance he'd complete a pass, and you have to account for his ability to run.
The problem for me; it costs a spot on the roster, and we already have 5 RB's I'm pretty fond of.

Dude had 8 TD's to 3 INT's the last few games of the season down the stretch. I think he's got talent. And not just physical, I can run around the field fast and elude defenders kind of talent like Vick has. I saw TJ last year more than a few times and he can drop back and make the throws. Plus, he's got a VERY good arm. I wouldn't mind at all seeing him in Green and Gold.
Then again, I thought we should have drafted Dennis Dixon (who's looking real good in Pitt.) instead of Brohm -- and could have gotten him 3 rounds later.

The question is, would he be an upgrade over Brohm?

The Way Brohm looked the other night, It wouldnt be too hard to upgrade, He just look skittish out there, I liked Brohm in college, never liked the pick though, but if Tavaris Jackson comes available we could do a lot worse for a back up, I don't think he's starting material but he can still be serviceable.

We don't need another backup QB with accuracy problems.

It would seem Minn has to cut a QB that is probably more servicable than BB. Do we try to pick up that guy and not just get a player but some insight into a rival's playbook?

Insight into the Chilly/Bevell playbook? Seriously?

If Flynn's injury is more serious than we think at this time, Jackson or even Booty would both probably be great pickups, with the added bonus that the Vikes need to change all their audibles when they play the Packers.

I'm just kidding around. Chilly isn't known for his offensive creativeness.

I'd be fine with TJack as a veteran backup, should he become available. He's shown some glimpses of ability. With our weapons in the passing game, he should be a servicable stopgap if Rodgers has to miss a few games. I'd feel better with him than Flynn or Brohm. But it would difficult to figure out how to handle the other 2. Maybe Flynn goes on the IR if his injury is serious.

From what i've seen between Jackson and Brohm...I rather have Jackson. Flynn has looked very good out there. Brohm I can't say the same for. He seems very hesitant and overall out of place.
Jackson would be a great addition because of his 'vick' like ability. I look at Jackson as an athlete playing the QB position, who would give us something extra to spice up the playbook with.

do you think the vikes would go for a Brohn/Jackson swap? I'd be very tempted to ask.

What would the Vikings want with another QB? Isn't the whole idea going from 4 QB's to 3 QB's?

Jackson is not going anywhere, in fact I would not be surprised to see him back as the #1 QB in Minnesota before the season ends.

Jackson or Booty will get "hid" on IR. Neither will go anywhere IMO

That very might be true. However IMO that would tick Jackson off beyond ever wanting to play for them. Booty I would assume would also dislike that move. These guys want to compete and play football. Putting them on the IR does nothing for them. I agree I could see the Vikings doing it

If Minnesota had any brains, they would keep Jackson and let him learn a bit from Favre. So expect him to be traded within the week.
