It said in the report that the Vikings QB likely to be moved to make space for Favre is Jackson. I view that as a good thing. I really thought Jackson was starting to come around last year. Childress just doesn't know what he is doing. Just watch. Favre will start off and lead the Vikings to a pretty good record, then fade down the stretch. They might make the playoffs but will be one and done. Childress's head will roll and the Vikings will have to start from scratch at QB. It will be a re-do of the Jets. I think Childress will be sorry for playing this game. The Jets mortgaged their future for Favre last year. The Vikings will do the same this year.

Just confirming what everyone already knew. Why don't the reporters ask John David Booty some questions since he currently has the #4 jersey for the Vikings? Does there have to be any kind of formal announcement when a player changes numbers? Just curious. Can the equipment managager order #4 Favre jerseys when the number belongs to someone else? It really sucks for all of those people that have Booty #4 jerseys, both of them.

I agree. He scares the heck out of me because if he ever improves his decison making, he will be tough to handle.

According to LeRoy Butler, the deal has been agreed to for up to $14mm (incentives) for the 2009 season. The Vikes and Favre are waiting to sign and send in the deal to NFL HQ until after their mandatory mini-camp - so they won't have to fine him for not attending. CKA is the perfect enabler for Favre.

All this talk about Favre is doing nothing but make the purple fans gloat alot more. They are relishing with all of the infighting going on in the Packer nation. They are so dumb that alot of them don't even care about wins or how many int's Favre has, they only know that they have our Golden Boy and thats all that matters. This will be the second season without Favre, time to let go and not give them anymore fuel for the fire. If we play to our potential this year and take it to them maybe we can all just let it go.

Wow. I guess I didn't figure he'd get nearly that much, even with incentives. Of course who knows what those incentives are, or if Butler is even correct.
I suppose he probably does have a fair amount of leverage. Their fans (and most of the players) probably have their heart set on getting the old gunslinger at this point, and they need Favre to get those fans to show up. They can't really go back and say, "sorry everyone. He wanted too much money, we'll be rolling with Sagevaris this year."

The top 5 seeds are set.
1. Dallas
2. GB
3. SEA
4. TB
5. NYG
6. Wash/Minn/NO
Who ever gets the six seed I think will lose to SEA. I think there is a good chance that NYG can beat TB. I think that the Packers and Dallas will both have hard match ups with SEA v GB and NYG v Dallas. I say GB wins and NYG upset Dallas. Next week GB blows out NYG to get to the SB
AFC side I see you have
1. NE
2. Indy
3. SD
4. Pitt
5. Jax
6. Tenn/Clev.
SD will spank who ever they play. I think Jax will again beat Pitt at Pitt. NE will be UPSET by Jax and Indy will beat SD. Jax will again upset Indy in the title game making it to the SB
GB beats Jax 34-24 Favre throws 3 TDs named MVP of the SB.
And then this last one, where GBP4EVER compares and contrasts Favre to Bonds and considers the way Favre handled himself as being a class act while Bonds was being a class jerk... Brett's recent performances sully the class act sentiment for many.QUOTE (GBP4EVER @ Jan 18 2008, 01:37 PM)

Favre - I think the 16 years that I spent in Green Bay speak for itself. … There are those people who are in your corner no matter what — you can’t do any wrong, even when you do wrong. And then there’s those people that, no matter what you do, they’re going to dislike you, and that’s not going to change, and then there’s the rest that don’t give a (expletive).
Brett forgot the group that loved nearly everything he did while he was a Packer and don't understand or don't like what he is doing now. I think it is absolutely possible to separate the two era's.

I have seen many of posts deleted on these boards for continuing to post in a negative manner about TT. Rightfully so IMO, because if you come to the forum to spew negativity about an individual, you are contributing nothing.
However, if you come here to talk as negative as you want about Favre, it is welcomed, even if you contribute nothing else to any other part of the boards. It is no secret that the Moderators here are big fans of TT, and that is fine. There are also posters that hardly post anything outside of how much they dislike Favre. If you consider how Favre has played in big games in the past we should all be happy if indeed BF signs with the Vikes. MN needs a QB that is a game manager and BF ain't that. Sooner or later he's gonna toss one - or more - up for grabs and the queens will crash and burn yet again.
