OMG.... I don't know if this is real or not - but whatever.

IF he does, well, then I thank him for the wonderful years and hope we defeat his TEAM when we play them.

Also - I apologize if this has been posted already.

I have a gut feeling it's the real deal this time. Oh well. Hopefully he spends most of this season on his back or throwing int's, as I would wish on any Vikings QB.

“I don’t need to wait for camp to say it’s 100 percent,” Favre told the television station. “I need to know before then, and so do the Vikings.”

So did the Packers...

I dont know, an officer serving overseas and another unnamed source as the sources for this story? I'd like to see something a little more concrete.

Numerous reports that a deal is essentially done.

Jason Wilde mentioned it the other day and I found this another site.

Here is a link to that Radio interview with Wilde.

Go to the link for 6-10-09 D-List. It's about 7 minutes in.
Your description of what he says is pretty accurate. He does say that his source is with the Vikings and knows Favre.
This would seem like a pretty credible source to me.

Yeah, what the heck does some guy serving in Afghanistan know about the inner workings of the vikings organization? Seems bizarre to say the least.

How is this news? He was determined to play there since last summer and they were determined to get him. Brett's a stubborn old fool, he'd play for the Vikings 40 years from now in a wheelchair if they'd let him. This has been unofficially official for over 12 months.
