I have to keep 2 guys for a league I'm in. Drew Brees, DeAngelo Williams, Steven Jackson, Brian Westbrook, Pierre Thomas, Roddy White and Eddie Royal. Which two of the ones mentiioned should I keep?

It's a standard scoring league, so no one position is more heavily weighted than the other.

Nice choices! How many teams in the league? And do you get to keep them indefinitely or just for this year?

Bluedog
12 team league. I need to have a 1 yr. keeper and a 2 yr. keeper

I'd probably go with Steven Jackson for 2 years and Brees for 1. Hard not to take 2 RBs in a 12 teamer, though. But Brees may be too good to let go. Westbrook is dinged up and there are those speculating the most recent injury could be pretty serious. He's getting older and I think they'll want to lighten his load a little bit. I don't trust D'Angelo Williams to come close to repeating his last year's numbers. I'm guessing he's a bit of a one year wonder.

The other 3 I would not give any consideration at all.

Well my gut says SJax and White.. but Sjax and Brees wouldn't be bad either.. I just don't think westbrook is reliable enough anymore.

I'd take the top RB scorer last year(at least in my keeper league) DeAngelo without hesitation.

For the 2nd I'd probably say Brees, but I wouldn't argue with either Jackson or Westbrook. Any of the other names you mentioned shouldn't even be in the picture.

I guess I got it narrowed down to DeAngelo, SJax, Brees and Roddy White. Still debating though.

also depends on where you pick in the draft.

You have to keep Deangelo Williams, the guy was the best player in fantasy football last year.

After that, I'd go with Brees or White under the assumption you still might be able to draft one of those other 3 guys before someone else. My guess is the depth of QBs availible will be better than at WR, so keep White.

I'd go with DeAngelo and Brees. Brees is definitely a no-brainer...the guy just keeps getting better. Well, more prolific, anyway. I can see the temptation to keep White, but with Gonzales there, who knows if he'll continue to put up the kinds of numbers he has. DeAngelo, on the other hand, is the focal point of a very potent rushing attack in Carolina. Granted, he's got Stewart there, and that might give some people pause...but the two-headed monster functioned pretty well last year, and there's no reason to think it won't perform well again.

And stay away from S.Jax. He'll have a spectacular game (like against the Cowboys last year), and then disappear or get injured. Not worth it.

Funny, I am in a 8 player keeper league. I have Jackson, White and Williams also!!
Brees is a no-brainer and I would go with the youth of Williams. Kind of a tough call as you don't know how many touches Stewart is going to get. My devotion would be Williams as he scored 4 touchdowns for me in our fantasy bowl last year!!! And yes I won!!
