And to think that there were a LOT of Packer fans who wanted this guy to replace Mike Sherman and were pissed when the Vikings jumped to get him ahead of the Packers. I'm so glad that TT wanted McCarthy to be his head coach. While MM might have his flaws, at the very least he is a true professional. He doesn't embarrass himself and the team by speaking openly like an ass or using silly antics like that stupid looking "hat/wig" getup. Brad Childress is Mike Tice version 2.0. Meathead. Let the Vikings keep him. As long as the Vikings, Lions and Bears keep hiring poor coaches they will only be making McCarthy's job that much easier.

I dont now where those fans were but I dont remember them.

Most of us knew that Childress had very little to do with the Eagles success. Reid was calling all the plays and Johnson was in charge of the defense. Childress was seen and seldom heard from.

I hope they sign him to a 20 year extension. For some reason that org. seems snakebit.

In his defense, he has improved the team every year. I believe he started 6-10, then 8-8, and last year was 10-6. With no QB. It could be a lot worse. I don't think he's a good coach, but his record would seem to indicate that he's not terrible either.

That said, a nice long contract extention would not displease me.

A classic example of purple wit... huh.gif For me it's just another reason to be grateful to be a Packer fan!
