I can't really say I've heard players from a lot of teams saying they hate their rivals. I assume that they do,
but I don't remember them actually saying it a lot in public.
It's fine for them to say it. But it's just as fine for us to hate them back.

Well, at least we know someone from our secondary, most likely Woodson is going to the pro-bowl this year. Hell, with Cutler, Stafford and maybe Favre/Jackson in the division, I think he can chalk up 6 INT's from division games alone.

From time to time, Peyton Manning still whines about the fact that Woodson beat him out for the Heisman, more than a decade ago.

I live in Chicago as well...and to be honest, I'm actually nervous for the start of the season. The Cutler hype is crazy right now, and it's not even June. I've heard "Superbowl" more than a few times. Sadly, I don't think that's so far fetched.

Cutler has no one to throw to and they have no running game. I see the teddies giving up a lot of sacks.

Gotta disagree on that one.
They may not have the WRs most teams do but Greg Olsen is a more then adequate TE and Forte can catch the ball out of the backfield.
Forte also had over 1200 rushing yards last year and close to double digit rushing TDs.
They are far from complete on offense but they have some weapons.

Grant also had 1,200 yards. I wouldn't say that makes for a great team rushing game. If our 3-4
D comes together we will be able to do a much better job covering receivers out of the backfield then we did last year. That with Jake's bulletin board material equals a sweep this year for the Packers.
GO PACK. And yes, the Bears still suck.

I dont think it makes them a great team either but like I said earlier they are not a team totally deprived of offensive weapons.
Good RB
Good TE
Good QB
There a good WR away from being able to hang some substanial points on teams.
Packer fans can write them off as much as they want but since Lovie got to town they have won 7 of the last 10 games.

Jay culter was a slightly above average player with a good oline and 2 good recievers and a decent tightend.
even with those advantages he made poor choices game after game. This will be rex grossman @2 except he will be able to run around behind the line of scrimmage which will sometimes help him but will limit his choices leading to bad ones and to fumbles and sacks.
Culter isnt the type of player to beat you by himself and sadly for him that is all he will have out there.
"clay mathews just bent culter in half.... this is not looking good for the bears futunes folks"

I think some of you are going to be surprised by Cutler. Living in KC I got to see him quite a bit on TV.
Rex Grossman he is not.
Every QB makes bad decisions from time to time. Denver started out pretty good last but faltered due to their horrid defense either giving up late drives or getting blown out.
I think we should all know by now how a QB acts when he is forced to play from behind and try to make something happen.

The Bears offense actually outscored the Broncos offense last year. Cutler is quite a talent but he makes poor decisions and led the NFL in red zone INTs. The Bears have a worse running game than the Broncos. It doesn't seem like it would be true but it is. The Broncos were #12 in rushing yards yet were in the Top in YPC. Denver has a tremendous OL, maybe the best in the NFL. Chicago doesn't. Cutler will definitely be a significant upgrade over Orton but he won't be the same QB that he was in Denver for sure.

He may be a bit of a gunslinger, but he's a talented QB. With some maturity and coaching, I am not pleased to see him in our division. The Bears are a better team than they were before the aquistion.

Looks like him and Rodgers are becoming friends.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is looking forward to the rivalry against new Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who was traded during the offseason by the Denver Broncos.
“It will be good to play against him and get a little friendly rivalry going,” said Rodgers.
Rodgers joked that Cutler "big-timed" him during the offseason until he was traded to the Bears.
“He kind of didn’t talk to me for a couple of months, after he didn’t hang out with me at the Super Bowl,” said Rodgers. “Then once he got traded, the next day he called me and we talked. You know Jay and I have been buddies since last summer so we’ve been texting back and forth. I was in Chicago at a Bulls-Celtics game, I was texting him saying I’m in your city right now. Jay’s a good guy, I think he definitely helps that team out.”
Im sure Rodgers is just lying though. He would not hang out with such a jerk

Heres what Dungy had to say. Frankly Im a bit surprised considering the record that Lovie has against the Pack.
Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy this morning made some interesting observations about the addition of quarterback Jay Cutler to the Chicago Bears.
Dungy was on a conference call with reporters because he and former San Diego and New England safety Rodney Harrison have joined NBC-TV's Sunday studio show, "Football Night in America."
Dungy made an initial remark about Cutler, which I followed up with a question in the Q&A.
NBC's first telecast of the regular season is Chicago at Green Bay on Sept. 13.
"I can remember when (Chicago coach) Lovie Smith went there saying we have to beat the Green Bay Packers, that's what this job is all about in Chicago," Dungy said. "They made a move specifically to do that, going out to get Jay Cutler, because of Green Bay's defense and all the press, man coverage, that we have got to have that threat. I think they took a risk. I think they took that risk specifically with beating the Green Bay Packers in mind.
"Chicago gave up a lot to get a quarterback they believe is going to be the final piece in the puzzle," Dungy said. "But I'm not sure he has won enough to merit that. It may turn out to be a great move. But I think the jury is out. To me, it was a risky move. But I think that was done with the idea of beating one team."
I asked Dungy if he considered Cutler the best starting quarterback in the NFC North.
"I think that remains to be seen," Dungy said. "I think he is a very talented guy who can throw the ball very well. But quarterbacking is so much about leadership and so much about doing things under pressure. There is going to be a lot of pressure on him in Chicago because he is being viewed as the missing piece to the puzzle to get them back to the Super Bowl. We'll see about the maturity level. That's what I would question, and some of the things that happened leading to him leaving Denver. That would concern me as a coach. So that's my question. I think he can make all the throws, but quarterbacking is much more than just making throws."

After his generous gift of 6 interceptions and major contributions to a Packer sweep of da bears this season, one has to wonder if he doesn't secretly 'love' the Pack and is overcompensating in his declarations to the other extreme.
