Radio the other day was talking about how if Favre goes to Minn and strugles that Childress would get fired Holmgren has said he wants to come back in 2010. They then said just think if Holmgren went to be the coach of the Vikings and talked Favre into staying a year or two there with him. Just think of those to coming back together to lambeau with the Vikings.

I believe that would cause the Green Bay Public Works department to change some street signs. One would also think a certain steakhouse would change names.

I think they both will be out of gas by 2010 if they aren't already.

I think he's to old to play now. Could you imagine him being 42 or 43 and still getting out there?

None taken. I could never be an NFL quarterback as that would mean missing my Sunday nap which has turned into a normal occurrence.

Me either. I like to drink beer on Sunday afternoons. The leauge's substance abuse policy might frown on that.

Maybe Brett has been learning how to punt and kick during the offseason, trying to get himself another few years in the league.

I think that is pretty far-fetched. If Favre were to struggle with the Vikings this year I can't see how the Vikings or any other team would want him as a starting QB. That would be two years in a row that he struggled. Not a good sign for a 40+ year old QB.

Does all this get any more far fetched. There are a few more ex-Packer coaches out of work they could add to sillyness. Although I didn't think Holmgren wanted to stick it to TT as well, oh well.

Who said anything about sticking it to TT? This is very plausable as if Childress does not produce this year he will likely be fired. Holmgren has said he wants to come back next year. He would be one of the top candiates wanted by many teams I think and the Vikings would be willing to spend and give him what ever he wants be it only a 2-3 year deal if he wants.

I was thinking the most "Twilight Zone" scenario would have been if Green Bay had gotten Randy Moss a couple years ago. Then, this fall, we'd see Favre playing for the Vikings and Moss playing for the Packers. ohmy.gif
