Patty is quite busily occupied just at this minute; however I expect a detailed analysis from her within a few days. I can tell you that the draft went considerably differently from what she expected. She's surprised by both of our top two selections.

She was a BIG Meredith supporter, I'm sure she loved that pick. IIRC she also mentioned TJ Lang.

I'm sure she loved the whole draft.... she had this 2 say about Clay Matthews...

ROUND 1 PICK 20: Clay Matthews OLB 6-3 245 USC – Clay is a very smart intelligent football player. He is intense and aggressive and extremely competitive. Keeps his cool and helps to make his teammates better players – a total team player. He has decent speed for a player his size but has great range due to being so instinctive. Has good pass rush skills but also the ability to turn and cover. Yet he needs work on pass coverage and can be fooled on misdirection plays. Overall Matthews is a quality player that I feel will be a starting OLB for many years.

and to think we got Jamon Meredith, a 2nd round player in her mind, in the 5th round? Damn.....she must be ecstatic.

One of the most intriguing picks of the whole draft in my mind is Brad Jones... watch highlights of him on youtube, they have highlights of him in pass coverage, and it took me a while to realize that they were just all of him in pass coverage, im like whoa this guy looks and moves like a corner, this guy played DE/OLB?!?! this guy can flat out move. i think he'll be a nice addition to our OLB crew, maybe providing some competition for Jeremy Thompson and Jason Hunter.

I know she was not a fan of Raji.... She really did not like what she heard about his attitude.

Id rather have a player with an attitude problem come in than a player with an injury history and marginal talent.

Attitude can be changed...

Most the stuff I heard was about keeping him motivated. Maybe Kevin Greene could do some freelance as an 'intensity coach'. excl.gif That ought to do the trick.
