Full Version: Weekends Strangest Draft Moves ?

The Raiders entire draft has been pounded by the pundits so I won't elaborate.

I found it interesting that the Vikings put out a "hit list" of players with character questions they wouldn't touch, then promptly make Percy Harvin their top pick. Of course, Brad was more than satisfied after he spoke with Percy. Harvin has the distinction of decking a ref......................during a high school game ! Peter Warrick anyone ?

I swear, Bill Belichick may be scouring the Asian Army base league next to find Offensive Lineman. I know he's building depth, drafting projects, etc. But come on, one guy barely speaks english. He may have outsmarted himself with a portion of this draft.

Tyson Jackson at the #3 slot ? Isn't this high of a slot reserved for difference makers ? A 3-4 end who's decent against the run but is limited in pass rush ?

Michael Mitchell may surprise some people, but the stranger part is that the Bears were reportedly interested in him two slots later.

Mine was Denver trading a 2010 #1 so they could take a CB in the 2nd round. Hmmm, I guess they figured since they had 2 of them next year, might as well just give one away.

Yeah, I think that Denver gave a 1st round away.

Hmmmm...Do you remember when Nick Collins was drafted in round two? And all of the fans went berserk? We later found out that Baltimore was about to pick him, just a few picks after we snagged him. A few years later, even the people who are skeptical of Collins wouldn't dare suggest that he wasn't at least worth the second rounder that we spent.

I bring this up because Mitchell doesn't seem like a total loser, and the similarities to the Collins pick are sort of eerie, IMO.
