Big Legend's Top Ten

1. Lions - Matt Stafford QB - A very good QB with all the ability to be a very good NFL player. The question is can he be one of the best?

2. Rams - Jason Smith OT - A very polished player that should man the left side for the next decade. A trade is possible but a team would have to give up a ton to get to number two.

3. Chiefs - Tyson Jackson DE - This pick will be Jackson or LB Aaron Curry with the Chiefs comparing Jackson to the Pat's Richard Seymour. Curry is outstanding but appears to be falling because he wasn't asked to rush the passer while at Wake Forest. This guy is flat out a great football player. This is also a spot where a trade is possible for those that love QB Mark Sanchez.

4. Seahawks - Aaron Curry LB - Curry would be a great pick here. This spot is a key to the top ten with the Seahawks also looking at an OT like Eugene Monroe or even QB Mark Sanchez. As with picks 2 & 3 this will be the topic of a trade possibility. If the Seahawks want instant impact the pick could very well be WR Michael Crabtree.

5. Browns - Brian Orakpo DE/OLB - Will Braylon Edwards be traded? If so then Wr Michael Crabtree makes sense, if not then the Browns should look to strengthen their defense. Cleveland already has their NG in Shaun Rogers, but can he play end in a 3-4? If they think he can then B.J. Raji could be the pick. The selection of Orakpo makes sense because he can play OLB in the standard 3-4 or play end when they go 4-3.

6. Bengals - Andre Smith OT - The Bengals get the most dominating offensive lineman in this draft. They could also go OT Eugene Monroe or even WR Michael Crabtree. I have a difficult time imagining this pick for the Bengals being anything but an offensive tackle.

7. Raiders - Darrius Heyward-Bey WR - This could actually happen. Davis loves speed so selecting Heyward-Bey or Missouri's fine wideout Jeremy Mackilin (he does remind me of ex-Raider Tim Brown) would be logical Raider choices. Do not discount an offensive tackle like Eugene Monroe or Michael Oher. Does WR Michael Crabtree fit the Raider mold?

8. Jaguars - Eugene Monroe OT - This would be a great pick for Jacksonville as would WR Michael Crabtree. If USC QB Mark Sanchez is still on the board this pick is likely to get traded. There is also a chance that Jacksonville takes WR Jeremy Mackiln here.

9. Packers - B.J. Raji NG / Michael Crabtree WR ( Take your pick) - A few things could make this pick very interesting. I would love either player. Raji is exactly what you look for in a 3-4 NG and Crabtree's playing style reminds me of Terrell Owens with a little less speed but better hands.

Is there any chance Mark Sanchez is still on the board? Is so this pick gets traded.

If the Chiefs pass on DE Tyson Jackson, he could end up a Packer.

What team takes Aaron Curry is Seattle doesn't? Could he be a Packer? I think he doesn't get past the Browns.

Will the Packers have a chance at one of the big three offensive tackles? If the Bengals or Jaguars trade their pick one of the top three should be available.

If Raji and Crabtree are gone, do the Packers like one of the offensive tackles over Texas DE/OLB Brian Orakpo? I thing Orakpo is going to be a force in the National Football League.

Do the Raiders take a WR other than Crabtree? If so and the Jaguars trade the pick, I think only Seattle stands in the way of Crabtree being on the board for the Packers at number nine. I don't think the Packers and Ted Thompson pass on Crabtree unless a team blows them away with a trade offer.

10. 49ers - Raji NG/ Crabtree WR - I think this pick would be the player the Packers pass on.

Pretty good work only one wrong you pass the test.

wow, fantastic job on your top ten!!!

That was amazing BL. Better than the "experts," that's for sure.

Awesome, really awesome. You nailed one of the two "surprises" of the draft, KC taking Jackson at #3. Great job!]

EDIT: Also, very well done predicting Monroe at #8, not many had him falling that far I think.

I got 6 out of the first ten right. I won a free shirt at Wild Wings for getting the Heyward-Bey pick right. Al Davis is so predictable!!

I actually got through most of your post before I actually realized that you posted this before the draft.... Good Job! I seriously thought it was a review of the top ten picks.

That was the best prediction that I saw come out pre-draft of the top ten picks. Who could have known that the Browns would target Alex Mack and trade out of the #5 spot for peanuts and players. Great job BL. I'll be paying closer attention next year when you get to the predictions for the Packers selections.

Eight out of nine, and in a way you also got the SF pick right too. I give you a lot of credit Big Legend. Nice picking.
