I don't do mock drafts. Why not? Because trying to penetrate the mind of TT is difficult enough. Now, try to penetrate the thoughts of 31 other franchises and accurately predict who they are going to take. Oh, sure, there are our perceptions of the team's "area of need" v. "best player available". If these match up, OK. But, remember, we are dealing with human beings with emotions, prejudices and pre-conceived notions.

Now, the real question that is of great interest to this board is- who will the Packers pick? I've read a lot of mock drafts, heard Patty's and other's opinions and I have decided that, quuite simply, I don't know. And neither does anyone else.

The first question should be: Who is available?

For example, if the draft would shake out (assuming GB doesn't trade back) that a very good OT, OLB, DE or DB/S (according to the conflicting draft gurus) is available, which one would you choose? Who cares? Because it finally doesn't matter what we think/believe/ care for. In the end, TT will decide who he will draft, and we'll have to live with it (good or bad).

The first comment is that relax and try to enjoy the draft. Personally, I might stick around long enough to view the first pick of the Packers. But, more likely, I'll be reclining outside, beer at hand, book in hand, puppy on lap, and read about it later. What's the rush? It is what it is. Getting angry at one draft pick or another won't change the picks. Don't worry- be happy! Even in this economic climate.

Mocks don't have to be about penetrating someones mind. Mine are never right but they are fun to try to project and to make people aware of some players.
