It will be interesting if this ups the urgency of teams looking at QB - could we see an early mini-run?

Yes.

Too early for us to cash in on Sanchez, but perhaps on Freeman if some team gets crazy.

The Rams are considering taking Sanchez at #2.

That is exactly the kind of run that shakes a draft board -- suddenly Freeman's value shoot up the charts on teams targeting a QB.

If the Rams pick Sanchez, things will get very interesting!

1st off congrats to Stafford on that very large contract
2nd compliments go out to the Packers organization for what looks like a bargain for Aaron Rodgers.

Bruce, first, thanks for the info/update.

Second- ARE THE LIONS NUTS?!?!?!?! $41.7 million GUARANTEED to a QB who hasn't played a down in the NFL, and who is (at best) a risk?!?!

Good grief- the world is truly crazy. blink.gif

Crazy and desperate for a winner! And yes, the NFL needs a rookie cap.

Yes, the lions are, and yes the NFL does, though the players may continue to fight against it - for the life of me I don't understand why? The players union is representing a small number of its membership by fighting against the rookie CAP, when the share could be fought for broader distribution to veteran membership IMO
