st Round: Tyson Jackson DE LSU: I have to say after months of reading and listening to all the talk I still am not completely sure of who the pick would/should be. I think I have narrowed it down to 5 players though: Raji, Jackson, Orakpo, Jenkins, and Oher. It will be very interesting what player Ted takes depending on what combination of these players are still on the board. The reason why I went with Jackson is because of a few reasons. One, I think only Raji and Orapkpo could make Ted think twice about his choice and the way things may fall both players are likely to be off the board. And Two, its a safe pick. I was listening to some program and they where saying the reason why Jackson is shooting up board is because for one 34 DEs are hard to find and two he is one of the few players that you kinda know what your going to get. So much like AJ Hawk Ted plays it safe and gets a guy that can play and play well at a key spot in our defense.
*I will say with Raji being cleared of his drug charges if he is still on the board at 9 I think he is the likely Pakers pick.
nd Round: Connor Barwin OLB Cincinnati: I know very Pat Kirwan of me right? I mean going Jackson and Barwin (although I can see it going Raji and Barwin). I went with Barwin because I dont think English will fall this far, although he will probably make to the 2nd round, and Sintim doesn't have the phyiscal ablitiy of Barwin. Also Barwin reminds me of Jordy Nelson alot, player that switchs position and is amazing at it. Plus add to the fact that Ted takes need in the second round it seems to like a likely selection....outside of Brace, Meredith, Beatty, English, Sintim (depending on how things fall).
rd Rounda: Gerald Cadogan OT Penn State: Had him in my last mock draft and Im beginning to like Cadogan better in the 3rd than say a Meredith in the 2nd. Plus 3rd round seems to be where Ted likes to being drafting Oline guys. Also I think Cadogan could start at RT this season give Breno a year of rest and another year to develop and in 2010 Cadogan and Breno become our LT and RT. Just a great fit at OT for Green Bay.
rd Roundb: Kevin Barnes CB Maryland: Very smart corner that can come in and add depth and push the likes of Lee and Bush. For one of the taller CBs in this draft Barnes has pretty good ball skills and has enough speed to say with WRs in new zone coverage scheme.
th Round: James Davis RB Clemson: Been linked to the Packers for awhile. Solid, not flashy, runner that does most of his work between the tackles and has a nosie for the endzone. WIll come in and compete with Wynn and Lumpkin for the 3rd string RB spot and probably win. Will give the Packers that 3rd and short back that they have been looking for.
th Round: Sammie Lee Hill NT/DE Stillman: May go higher but if he should probably go in the 5th. Better than most NT prospects because Like Ngata in Baltimore Hill has a shot at playing DE in the 34 too. Im not overly freaked out that Pickett can be a solid NT in this defense but Pickett needs help.
th Rounda: Joel Bell OT/OG Furman: My Tony Moll, Josh Sitton, Allen Barbre pick of the 09 draft. Ted likes taking on these small school Oline prospect and Bell screams to me like one of the picks in the 6th or 5th round where Ted takes them with other talent tat maybe fans are more familiar with and gets use sayings "who? But (insert name here) is still on the board!!! Ah I need another drink." Bell has all the tools to be a great OT its just he needs alot of coaching.
th Roundb: Antonio Appleby ILB Virgina: Like Sintim, Appleby will be able to come in and not miss a beat because he was in the 34 at Virgina. So He is a safe prospect to take late that can probably give us great depth at ILB.
th Round: Bear Pascoe TE Frenso State: Ted and Green Bay get their blocking TE in Bear. Plus Green Bay fans will love him because he is a super tough player and will probably be a 3rd TE, FB, HB, all around player.
