I'll take it!

All things considered, I will dance the electric slide down the street if this happens. With a green and gold lampshade on my head.

If that happened we would all be cheery, mainly because of Barwin. Jackson is a 'solid' and 'safe' pick, but he has little upside. It's basically like signing a boring defensive line free agent to a large contract. It's fine though.

What defensive lineman would have an 'upside' in your opinion? Or are you saying that overall defensive line is just not sexy enough for you?

In my opinion, I'd take a combo of Jackson and Barwin any day over a Orakpo/Brown/Maybin and Gilbert combo.

If that happened, I'll still be worrying about the tackles on either end of the OL... huh.gif

What about Jackson and Meredith?

Watch the pick actually be Robert Ayers, and everyone's pissed off.

I just became a HUGE Pat Kirwan fan!

Love Jackson, hate Barwin. Just what we need a guy who has to not only learn to rush to passer, but how to play the run, cover the flat and probably where to stand on the sideline too. Way too big a project. Not a big fan of the kid from Gorgia Tech at all, but I'd rather see him be a Packer as at least he has a film of something comparable to what he'd be asked to do here.
