Criteria:
Used CBS Sportsline Player Rankings for Rounds 1-4
(Picked +2 or minus 19 depending on needs v. talent basis)
Traded #9 (1350) to NY Jets for #17 and #52 (1330)
17. Tyson Jackson DE LSU - (Rated #16)
Hopefully we get lucky and he falls one past his slot. This is a best case scenario for the Packers. Best player available at huge need.
41. Larry English OLB NIU - (Rated #40)
Packers can't pass up on this talent as he falls one pick past his projection.
52. James Meridith OT - South Carolina - (Rated 61)
Expected starter at RT from Day 1 who can move to LT when Clifton is done.
73. Shawn Nelson TE - So. Miss - (Rated #88)
Gifted athlete should not only push Finley right away but give GB a dynamic TE duo for years.
83. Gerald Cadogan RT - PSU (Rated #92)
Can push Meridith and eventually take over RT when Meridith moves to LT.
109. Mitch King DL - Iowa (Rated #123)
This guy is just an excellent football player, I hope we get him.
Hack away, that was fun putting together.

KC Jim- I like the picks, and while it is possible that Tyson Jackson is still there at 17, it does seem unlikely with San Fran, Denver, and San Diego all needing 3 - 4 personnel picking before them.
Still, if the Pack landed Jackson, English, Meredith with the first three picks, I'd be thrilled

I like the players and the value in every round. A couple might be a bit unrealistic, but really, the only one I don't see is Jackson at #17. I doubt he gets past #15 or so. English is probably about 50:50 depending on which teams see him higher and whether they have needs at the position. I'm not sure I'd be doubling up at 2 positions - OT and DE like this. There are a couple of other needs, most importantly NT, that probably ought to be adressed in there somewhere.

I would flat-out LOVE that draft!

Very good draft, but I would like to see a nose prospect instead of another end - as much as I like King. All prospects with upside though.

I wouldn't have any problem if this was Green Bay's actual draft. It would be interesting to know the selections you would make with the four remaining draft choices.
One minor correction. I believe the OT from South Carolina is Jamon Meredith.

Meridith is now being linked to steroids I think I read that in one of Patty's posts and that he is dropping on draft boards. I wonder what other surprises will abound in the next week?

I hadn't seen that yet if it is indeed true it is unfortunate for us as it thins a position of need. I did just quickly match this up against Patty's Draft Worksheeet (which is awesome) and I believe this draft matches her tiers right on.
The other thing I wanted to mention is I like the idea of double dipping in this draft at OT and DL. Those positions represent huge needs and we have to get at least one player to stick. I know it is throwing darts at a board but at least it gives us a shot.
