Is it just me, or does anybody else have problems with the home Packer Chatter page freezing up?? I thought it was just my home PC at first, but it happened to me a few times on my laptop as well. It only happens if I go to the home page first, if I bypass the home page and go right to the forums it isn't an issue. Anybody else experience this??

I think it is a javascript issue. If I leave it alone for a while, there is eventually a popup asking if I want to stop a script on the page that is making things run slowly.

I suggest the download update for Java as we are running normal here.
Thanks.

Thanks KC. I downloaded the latest update for Java, and verified the download, but I am still having the same thing happen to me. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Damn if it didn't just lock up on me using IE. Works fine with Mozilla.
Waited a bit and got an error message. Please see the attached screen shot.

LMG,
This has been happening at least for several weeks now where it didn't used to before (obviously). The script warning message keeps popping up. I am all up to date with the Java software so don't believe that is the issue. Perhaps a browser setting needs to be changed on our end, but it was something on your end that caused this to start happening in the first place.
Thanks much.
Will pass the info on to my partner to look at.
Seems to be happening just using I.E. Explorer which I don't use so have not had the experience seeing until now.

Make sure you've installed the latest edition of your browser. I was freezing at the home page as well, but now it's fine after I updated IE.

Seems like it is better at night than in the am. It locks up mine at the office to the point where I have to shut off in order to get out of it. You can talk about versions of browsers but in the last week is when this stated failing.

I tried on three different computers last week, three different locations and had the same lockup problem. Early in the morning, or late at night I was able to get through.

I was having the same problem from two of my homes and my office (all on different networks)...
However, the issue seems to have been resolved what ever it was!
