GBP4ever, very nice mock, one of the best I've seen in terms of filling needs with the best players available. I hope like heck the Packer's draft turns out this good.

I agree with Maniac, GBP4ever. I'd be thrilled with this draft if it happened. I don't know that New England would want to do the trade considering they can get 4 players in the first 2 rounds just by staying put, but it isn't unreasonable at all. Nice job and I hope you're right! smile.gif

All your picks represent excellent value for the rounds in which they would be selected. Also, the trade with New England is very close in chart value. Your mock draft shows careful thinking and research.
Favre-A-Holic
I'd be thrilled if it actually worked out that those guys were available at those picks. Unfortunately, it looks like a few of them will be gone (such as TJ Lang, who I'm afraid has moved at least into the 4th round, if not higher).

I think this is a very nice draft. If it would shake out this way, I'd have very few complaints. I think Matthews will be a very good OLB in the 3-4. Also, last night, on the NFL Channel, I heard Miike Mayock talking about how Gilbert and Beatty are moving up the draft charts.
Some questions, though. Are you projecting Magee as the backup NT? Also, wouldn't it be better to get a CB than a SS? Or even another LBer?
These are not criticisms, I was just curious about your thought process in putting together this draft.
Heatseeker
Hate the Clay Matthews selection, love the rest.

I think there will be other, better options even at 23.

Matthews I think is the best 3-4 LB in the draft so to get him at 23 IMO is a great job.

I think Beatty could start at RT for us this year and Gilbert would play a lot this year.

I am not sold on Bigby or Rouse be a starting saftey and think that Hamlin could be the answer in a year two as the future starter.

Right now I would have Magee as a backup but with Pickett a FA after the season and Harrel a question mark Magee could become a starter next year. We also have a couple young CB's in Williams and Lee but nothing much at saftey.
I thought about another LB but we have so many of them that after adding Matthews your looking at a later round LB'er that would be buried on the depth chart.

With a mock like that the fans would have nothing to piss and moan about.

The first five picks are all based on need. How ridiculous! That makes too much sense. Who drafts based on what their team needs? laugh.gif

Yeah, after our pick at 9, need will go out the window. It'll be WRs, QB, and CBs.
