Full Version: What we need....Who you like

Any chance of a podcast revolving around what the Packers need in the draft (and even FA), and who you'd like them to pick ?

You don't have to be a draft guru to like what you've heard about certain guys, and to not like others.

I'd love an old vet OT in FA, like Tra Thomas. We could plug him in at RT, and then we have another year to finalise the future there. We can draft one OT this year, and re-visit it again next year.

Most people think we get a rush LB high in the draft, but even now we have a logjam there. If Kampman, Hawk and Barnett play three of the positions, that leaves a huge fight between 8 others, Bishop, Poppinga, Chillar, Havner, Lansanah, Pettway, Hunter, Thompson. Whether or not we get a rush LB in the draft (and I think we do) a lot of guys will not be playing for the packers in 2009.

We just recorded a new podcast this afternoon and, sadly, we didn't address the issues you raise. Instead we discussed at length the Packers activity (or lack thereof) during the off-season. I expect this will be posted tomorrow or, at worse, by the end of this week.

As for the draft, we are hoping to have Chad Reuter with us for a pre-draft show and, hopefully, a draft wrap up.

Chad will also be with us to do 2 Live Draft Chat's in April.
