Some great signings here and they all have one thing in common. They all helped their teams to greatness.

Sean Jones and Reggie White on this list. 2 D- Lineman that were Free agent signings on a line that was one of the best ever in NFL history. hmmmmm..

Reggie = best free agent ever.

i noticed on their "worst" list they forgot to mention Joe Johnson. and some of the guys they did have, like Kerry Collins or Jeff Garcia, went on to be productive elsewhere. kinda makes you think that guy wasn't the problem...

I always thought that Sean Jones has been an underated player in that great Packer defense. A huge pick up for the Pack. Paup was great and loved living and playing in Packerland. I remember Ron Wolf saying in retrospect, letting Paup go was one of his biggest regrets as GM.

Agree 100% on both accounts! Eugene Robinson was another free agent signing that I thought was critical to the Packers success. I wish we had signed him for another stint.

Not much is ever made about Andre Rison. While I didn't care for him personally and I didn't think he was "Packer People", he was a great weapon for Brett and I would have liked to see him play another year on our team.
Attack-Pack
Surprised no one brought up Desmond Howard, for the 96 season. He was a HUGE signing, the field position he helped give our offense, and the return scores are, I feel, somewhat under appreciated. Man Green Bay had some big signings back in the day. Of course he could be on the bust list too, when the Raiders signed him. I remember it like yesterday, him signing with the Raiders, in fact it was the second year in a row the Raiders signed the superbowl MVP, and the second year in a row they were burned by it. (Larry Brown the year before they signed Howard).

I saw something the other day that Collins is like 3000 yards away from passing Montana on the yardage list. If he plays this year he will probably pass up Esiason, Kreig, Unitas and Montana.

Amazing...
