The Raiders' fullback has been released. I remember how a lot of us wanted him and even thought he was going to sign with us, but he never did. Do we still feel the same way?
But -- Korey Hall and John Kuhn have proved to be pretty good blockers. Even Hall can catch the ball out of the backfield which is nice considering he was a LB at Boise State. More depth never hurts though.

If I remember correctly, Griffith is pretty old (somewhere in his mid-30's). I don't think the Packers should sign him, unless they think he could help teach Hall and Kuhn better blocking and route running techniques. In other words, a player/coach/mentor role.

Griffith will be 29 when camp opens, is 6', 230 lbs. We've got 2 or 3 half-backs bigger than him (Lumpkin, Wynn, maybe BJax) on the roster, so not sure what value he'd have in our system. As far as opening holes, force=mass x acceleration... unless he's running at 4.4 forty speed, I doubt he moves the DL's and LB's better than either Kuhn or Hall (RFA... sign him and keep him around).

Maybe at veteran's minimum - not a position to invest much money into - our 2 fullbacks our more than sufficient

I feel our FB position is just fine, and would take Kuhn and Hall over Griffith. They proved enough of themselves last year to stick around.

The thing about this guy is that he may be the most versatile FB around.
He can block, he can run--and run well--, and he can catch.
Neither one of our guys can do any of those three things as well as him.
Now if you want just a lead blocker, then he is not your cup of tea. But if you want a real FB who can help your offense in different ways, and make it more well-rounded, then yep, he is.

Our FB is fine. I think we should start using our FB less anyways and have more 2 back sets with Grant and Jackson.

Our FB situation is fine?
DOn't you recall the days of Henderson in his prime? neither of these two guys come close to that.

why does that matter? Hall for a new guy to the position has done an extremely good job. Him and Kuhnn are fine, we need to spend our money on other parts of this team.

Kuhn is a FA, albeit a RFA.

I don't think anyone here implied that our current FB's were at the same level of Henderson. There's a difference from being fine and great.

God help Rodgers since neither of those backs can pick up a blitz. Yeah that would work

T-there is still a couple of spots left on the PackerChatters mock draft board. You should get in and pick a team.
